We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Product Management to lead our team in delivering innovative digital products for the sports industry. As a key leader, you will drive product strategy, guide clients and internal teams through the entire product lifecycle, and mentor a team of product managers. While the role is a remote position, we are ideally looking for someone within a 2 hour distance via car or train from our NYC Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Act as a strategic product leader, developing business cases and connecting the dots between feature decisions, outcomes and client ROI.
- Guide clients and internal teams through all stages of the product life cycle: research, strategy, planning, requirements, design and development and ongoing product operations.
- Drive product strategy and the creation and execution of customers' roadmaps via data and insights driven decisions that lead to business results
- Lead product concept and ideation meetings and presentations with client stakeholders at senior levels.
- Validate product requirements documents that represent the user experience as well as the technical plan for execution.
- Lead and mentor clients and internal team members on complex technical concepts.
- Build product management procedures, inclusive of establishing tools and standardizing artifacts/deliverables.
- Define and track key team, business, and user success metrics to foster continuous improvement.
- Directly lead a team of product managers, fostering their professional growth, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities.
- Find and execute opportunities where AI can be leveraged to create efficiencies in business workflows and generate product features.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- 10+ years of experience in product management for consumer facing digital products. Experience in sports, is a must.
- 3-5+ years leading and mentoring a team of product managers; fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and growth through mid to complex efforts.
- Demonstrated ability/experience communicating and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders from different business functions.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate priorities, updates, and results with clients and the Next League leadership team.
- Passion for fandom and developing solutions to drive innovation and business model reinvention in sports
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to constantly changing business environment, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Proven track record of delivering large scale solutions for consumer facing digital experiences.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize use cases for AI/ML across the product portfolio.
- Strongly Preferred Experience - Software Development or related technical background.

Travel Requirements
This position is expected to travel up to 25% of the time.
