As the Director of Product, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and market success of a commercial AI enablement product focused on driving AI workforce transformation at scale. This role is accountable for defining what the product is, how it creates value for customers, and how it is successfully taken to market in a regulated healthcare environment.
You will lead the product from concept through launch and ongoing iteration, acting as the bridge between business leaders, customers, sales teams, and technical AI delivery teams in a complex, regulated healthcare environment. This is a product leadership role with significant influence across product strategy, go-to-market execution, and enterprise alignment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Decision Ownership
- Own the end-to-end product roadmap, including near-term delivery, medium-term capability expansion, and long-term strategic direction
- Make final prioritization and trade-off decisions across customer needs, commercial objectives, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements
- Define the product's value proposition, target customers, and use cases in support of AI workforce transformation
- Determine how the product is packaged and delivered (e.g., self-serve, supported, enterprise-integrated), and clearly articulate what is being sold
- Maintain a solid understanding of the competitive landscape across AI enablement and enterprise AI adoption platforms
Go-to-Market & Client Engagement
- Own the product contribution to go-to-market strategy, including positioning, sequencing of releases, and readiness for commercial launch
- Act as a product leader in external, client-facing engagements, including discovery sessions, roadmap discussions, and executive presentations
- Partner closely with Sales to support opportunity shaping, solution design, and customer confidence in the product's capabilities and roadmap
- Contribute to pricing, packaging, SOW inputs, and onboarding models to ensure clarity of scope, outcomes, and success metrics
Delivery & Cross-Functional Execution
- Translate strategy and market needs into a prioritized product backlog with clear requirements and acceptance criteria
- Work through engineering and delivery teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution of roadmap commitments
- Monitor adoption, usage, and performance metrics to inform iteration and continuous improvement
Enterprise Alignment, Portfolio Integration & Governance
- Ensure alignment between the AI enablement product and broader Optum AI and enterprise strategies
- Partner with leaders across complementary products to identify integration opportunities and cohesive customer experiences
- Represent the product in executive reviews, governance forums, and commercialization discussions
- Ensure all product decisions align with responsible AI principles, data privacy standards, and healthcare regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management in an Agile environment
- Demonstrated experience defining products, owning roadmaps and backlogs, and delivering customer-facing capabilities
- Proven working knowledge of AI technologies (GenAI, ML) sufficient to partner effectively with technical teams
- Proven solid stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven ability to drive go-to-market execution and adoption in complex organizations
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex, multi-team initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting enterprise AI adoption or workforce transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated background in healthcare or other regulated industries
- Experience with responsible AI, data governance, or compliance-driven environments
