The Role 

SensorUp is seeking a strategic Director of Product Management and Design to lead the end-to-end product design efforts across our emissions monitoring platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping experiences that help oil & gas and energy enterprises track, report, and reduce methane and greenhouse gas emissions.

You will work closely with a cross-functional product development team - including engineering, product management, and marketing - to translate complex environmental and operational data into intuitive, accessible, and action-driving digital products and experiences. Your contributions will span product discovery, user experience design, brand evolution, and design systems development.

This role is ideal for someone with a deep background in enterprise SaaS, strong systems thinking, and a desire to work on impactful climate solutions.

Your Influence

  • Establish rapport with customers and your team, work closely with all parties to discover user value, explore solutions, and enable constant delivery of value. 
  • Work with other product design peers to improve design systems, improve product marketing systems, and overall manage the experience and brand guidelines for the company.  
  • Work with your cross-functional team to design solutions, ship those solutions regularly, and review feedback and learnings to drive incremental improvements.
  • Participate in senior leadership processes, including bi-annual offsites, to collaborate and shape the future direction, vision and strategy of SensorUp.  

Your Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, including at least 3-5 years designing enterprise-grade data-heavy platforms.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting or methane emissions is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer-focus mindset, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • A mastery of design tools, including Figma, with the ability to quickly explore and validate solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, which include product design, engineering, product management, marketing, and customer success.  
  • Demonstrated success influencing product direction and outcomes through user research, iterative design, and strategic thinking.

Salary Range (150-200k CAD)

Salary ranges are determined by the role and level required for the position. Factors such as job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training and location determine individual pay. The position is also eligible for equity, bonus, and participation in our total rewards package in your region.
