We’re Hiring: Director of Partnerships

We’re looking for a Director of Partnerships to help accelerate EdVisorly’s growth by building and expanding college and university partnerships across the country. This role is a key member of our Sales organization, responsible for driving new revenue, expanding our institutional footprint, and helping higher education leaders modernize the transfer experience through EdVisorly’s AI-powered platform.

As Director of Partnerships, you’ll own the full partnership lifecycle — from identifying and engaging prospective institutions to navigating complex buying cycles, closing agreements, and expanding impact over time. You’ll work closely with internal teams across Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure partners are positioned for long-term success.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building relationships, and brings a competitive drive to win — while staying grounded in mission and purpose.

The ideal candidate is a consultative seller, strategic thinker, and trusted advisor who understands higher education, can influence senior decision-makers, and knows how to turn conversations into long-term partnerships.

What You’ll Own

🔹 Partnership Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify, qualify, and close new college and university partnerships across an assigned territory.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, consistently driving momentum through the sales cycle.

  • Meet or exceed quarterly KPIs by securing new partnerships and expanding the scope of existing partnerships.

🔹 Revenue Generation & Deal Execution

  • Own the full partnership lifecycle — from outreach and discovery to negotiation and closing.

  • Leverage consultative sales techniques to build trust, uncover institutional needs, and align EdVisorly’s platform with enrollment goals.

  • Deliver compelling pitch presentations and communicate EdVisorly’s value with clarity, confidence, and precision.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and activity tracking in CRM systems.

🔹 Relationship Building & Higher Ed Leadership Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and enrollment leaders across colleges and universities.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to institutions by understanding their transfer, enrollment, and student success challenges.

  • Use strong written and verbal communication to influence and drive action across multiple stakeholders.

🔹 Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight

  • Maintain deep knowledge of EdVisorly’s platform, value propositions, and evolving market positioning.

  • Monitor competitor insights and higher education trends to inform strategy, product innovation, and growth opportunities.

  • Attend conferences and industry events to strengthen relationships, deliver presentations, and expand EdVisorly’s presence.

🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Product, Marketing, and Partner Success) to ensure smooth handoffs and strong partner outcomes.

  • Use platform analytics and user behavior insights to support compelling value stories and tailored institutional proposals.

You Might Be a Fit If...

✅ You have 5+ years of experience in a full-cycle sales or partnerships role selling into higher education, enrollment management, EdTech, or SaaS.
✅ You have a proven track record of consistently exceeding quota and driving revenue growth.
✅ You’ve been a top performer (#1 or #2) in prior sales organizations and can provide strong references to validate results.
✅ You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the grit to succeed in a high-rejection sales cycle.
✅ You’re highly organized, data-driven, and know how to build pipeline strategically and consistently.
✅ You’re an excellent communicator with strong executive presence and persuasive presentation skills.
✅ You’re competitive, coachable, mission-driven, and bring the kind of energy that elevates the team around you.
✅ You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and enjoy building in an early growth-stage environment.
✅ You’re open to travel up to 40% and are based near a major travel hub.
