About the Role

Our Figure Lending team is looking for a dynamic, growth oriented sales leader who can help identify new business opportunities and secure partnerships with Enterprise Banks and Credit Unions. In this role, you will build and grow a robust network and be responsible for sourcing and structuring as well as negotiating and implementing a strong portfolio of meaningful partnerships and business opportunities. Collaboration will be a pivotal part of the role with the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the company and with external partners as you develop and execute on partnership strategies. The position will report to the Sr. Director of Partnership Development. This is Figure’s newest vertical, and you have the opportunity to lead the charge and build it!

What you will do

  • Develop sales opportunities and create an actionable plan to close partnerships across diverse prospective partners. Potential partners include area, state and regional Banks and Credit Unions, which are designated as enterprise accounts, where Figure’s products could be beneficial
  • Educate prospective partners on the different types of partnership models that could be utilized (Wholesale/Co-Branded, Correspondent/Private Labeled, LaaS or Figure Connect and demonstrate the mechanics of each partnership type
  • Understand the value proposition of Figure’s offering to partners, implement and ensure ongoing updates to the Figure pitch book and website, taking into account different types of relationships and evolving market conditions
  • Work with Marketing to create a framework to drive visibility, including social media and posts and press releases related to partnerships to drive industry awareness about Figure and its products
  • Utilize Saleforce to track prospective partners, maintain detailed updates of all interactions with status, contacts, dates of conversations, follow-up and next steps
  • Maintain management dashboards on the pipeline, update activities on a regular basis, and create  future volume projections. Partner with Onboarding, Sales Success and other volume dependent departments to ensure proper staffing
  • Leverage the data room and due diligence materials for prospective partners and ensure materials are up to date
  • Create and negotiate contracts with partners, including economic and legal documentation of key provisions and volume expectations
  • Present demos of our product to potential partners,answer  questions and follow-up on all due diligence requests
  • Seamlessly hand off partner to the onboarding and product teams to ensure critical milestones are met related to launch of partnership
  • Monitoring market trends in order to adjust strategies accordingly
  • Oversee process of diligence review of lending partners
  • Maintain summary of key terms and pricing for all partners and update as changes are made
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge

What we look for

  • BA/BS University degree preferred and 10 years of industry experience
  • Strong drive to meet forecasted sales targets
  • Self-confidence in your product knowledge and how it benefits our business partnership
  • Resilience to drive in ambiguity 
  • Strong communication skills – including both verbal and written
  • The ability to influence and negotiate with others
  • Ability to think outside the box and react to client needs
  • Strong organizational skills - proven ability to track and maintain all interactions and drive follow-up and next steps
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

Salary

  • Compensation Range: $120,000 - $150,000
  • 40% Commission target, paid quarterly 
  • Equity stock options package
  • This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
