The Role

The Director of Paid Media will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of all paid media channels to accelerate Maximus’ growth and market leadership in performance medicine. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role will design and lead a high-impact acquisition engine, leveraging data-driven insights, creative excellence, and cutting-edge platforms to maximize ROI. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving, high-performance environment and brings both strategic vision and operational rigor to scale customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive paid media strategy across search, social, display, video, and emerging channels to drive measurable growth.

  • Manage the paid media budget with precision, optimizing spend allocation for maximum efficiency and impact.

  • Oversee campaign execution end-to-end, from audience targeting and high-velocity creative testing to bid strategies and performance reporting.

  • Implement advanced measurement frameworks, including attribution modeling and incrementality testing, to guide investment decisions.

  • Collaborate with brand, creative, and analytics teams to align messaging, assets, and KPIs across all campaigns.

  • Foster relationships with key platform partners (e.g., Google, Meta, TikTok) to access beta programs, insights, and first-to-market opportunities.

  • Drive continuous experimentation to unlock new channels, audiences, and formats that scale profitably.

  • Ensure all campaigns meet or exceed acquisition, retention, and LTV goals.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing paid media team, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

  • Maintain an active pulse on industry trends, competitor strategies, and platform changes to inform strategy.

Qualifications & SkillsRequired
  • 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, with a focus on managing large-scale paid media budgets.

  • Proven track record of delivering significant ROI through multi-channel campaigns in high-growth consumer businesses.

  • Expertise in advanced targeting, optimization techniques, and measurement tools.

  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting data and translating insights into action.

  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Deep knowledge of paid social, paid search, programmatic, and emerging ad platforms.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred
  • Experience in health, wellness, or performance-focused industries.

  • Hands-on expertise with marketing automation, CDPs, and personalization tools.

  • Familiarity with subscription or membership-based business models.

  • Early adoption of AI-driven media buying and creative optimization technologies.
