The Role

Director of Paid Media (Google PPC Expert)

Interdependence is seeking a seasoned Director of Paid Media with deep expertise in Google Ads and PPC strategy. This new role will be focused primarily on building, optimizing, and scaling paid search campaigns on Google, as well as supporting clients with integrated digital advertising strategy. The ideal candidate is a Google PPC expert who thrives on performance metrics, understands how to drive measurable ROI, and is eager to take a leadership role in building a paid media practice. Key Responsibilities

Google Ads & PPC Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of high-performing Google Ads campaigns, including search, display, YouTube, and performance max.

  • Manage and optimize budgets across multiple clients and industries with a focus on CPC, ROAS, and lead conversion.

  • Conduct keyword research, A/B testing, and continuous performance optimization.

  • Stay current on all Google Ads trends, tools, and algorithm changes to maintain peak campaign performance.

Client Strategy & Communication

  • Serve as the lead PPC strategist and day-to-day client contact for all Google Ads initiatives.

  • Present strategy, performance results, and growth opportunities clearly and confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with account and creative teams to ensure campaigns are integrated and results-oriented.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track and report on all campaign KPIs using Google Analytics, Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), and other performance tools.

  • Translate data into actionable insights, regularly recommending refinements for better outcomes.

Team Support & Collaboration

  • Provide direction to freelance PPC specialists or junior team members as needed.

  • Help establish scalable processes, templates, and documentation for campaign management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing with deep specialization in Google PPC and paid search.

  • Google Ads Certified, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns in multiple industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage six- and seven-figure Google Ads budgets with proven ROI.

  • Strong analytical skills and command of campaign data across multiple platforms.

  • Ability to simplify complex data into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with bid strategy, automation, conversion tracking, and performance reporting.

  • Exceptional communicator who can lead client conversations and advocate for PPC best practices.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and eager to build a paid media team from scratch.
