Job Description:
The Director, MultiLife Sales will be an internal executive benefits/multi-life resource for the 1847Financial and IFN Distribution channels, Service, Product Management and Marketing teams. In partnership with wholesalers and leaders, the Director, MultiLife Sales will develop timely and relevant multi-life product or concept updates and training collateral for internal departments and field partners. The Director, MultiLife Sales develops and maintain a thorough familiarity with all aspects of the regions to include, but not limited to, understanding of the business practices of key producers, geographic locations of financial professionals, and knowledge of the regional sales style needed to locally market multi-life insurance products.
- Provide phone consultations, presentations, and create marketing collateral on sophisticated planning designs involving the use of Multi-Life Insurance.
- Develops sales ideas to share with financial professionals as well as provides illustration case design support.
- Manages reporting on pending sales inventory for field partners.
- Conduct analysis of a client’s current situation, identifying opportunities, client objectives and matching Penn Mutual’s multi-life offerings for improved future state.
- Responsible for training and educating Agents on existing multi-life products, while building business and operational strategies around the changing elements of the industry such as streamlining daily operations, maximizing efficiencies, and improving transparency to clients.
- Obtains required knowledge regarding Penn Mutual’s mutual structure, financial stability and industry ratings.
- Understands FINRA and insurance regulations as well as company compliance guidelines and adhere to same.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive and in-depth working knowledge across all supported product lines, investment sub-accounts and operational procedures.
- Comprehends the suitable application of PML’s product in sales situations and recommend to financial professionals, as appropriate.
- Provide education on multi-life products via presentations, meetings, & webinars. Review cases to ensure they fit within Penn Mutual’s guidelines.
- Designing creative strategies for events, presentations and client meetings.
- Works with field partner or home office marketing associates to coordinate various promotional events.
- Shares knowledge with team members, providing guidance and fostering growth.
- Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
- Remains current in profession and industry trends.
- Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study or equivalent work experience that shows progressive advancement in duties and responsibilities.
Experience
- 5 years of Multilife (Executive Benefits) experience required or 7-10 years related work experience in the life insurance industry require
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience utilizing CRM systems and reporting
- Experience managing large accounts required, including managing accounts of companies with multiple lines of business that are distinct and unique, health plan accounts with multiple customer lines.
- Knowledge and experience in both sales and illustration of life insurance products (specifically in the context of multi-life sales) is required.
- Thrives in high-pressure situations, consistently meeting deadlines
- Strong consultative, negotiation and presentation skills required.
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills required.
- Excellent customer service skills including the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Exceptional written communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Skills.
- Must be willing to travel as necessary
Base Salary Range - $165,000 - $175,000
