Job Summary
Chief responsibility is to increase external understanding and awareness of the organization's objectives and achievements, especially as it relates to local programs. Responsible for developing and directing programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company. Creates plans that direct the development and communication of information designed to keep the public informed of the Company's programs, accomplishments, or point of view. This strategic role supports the Mountain West Region—including Colorado, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Idaho—and collaborates closely with the Mountain West Senior Leadership Team and communications leaders across the organization. Organizes a significant flow of work and meets and ensures appropriate deadlines are met. May review and approve advertising or sales promotion programs for congruence with the public relations program. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Core Responsibilities
- Approves fact sheets, news releases, photographs, scripts, motion pictures, or audio recordings to media representatives and other persons who may be interested in learning about or publicizing company's activities or message.
- Promotes goodwill through such publicity efforts as speeches, exhibits, films, tours and question/answer sessions.
- Represents, coordinates and supervises public relations activities that facilitate communication of the organization's message to internal and external publics.
- Curates local content for social media, press and media, and other public facing efforts
- Delegates activities/projects among less experienced assistants to ensure timely results; monitors progress and provides guidance as appropriate.
- Serves as liaison with PR agencies, news agencies, event organizers, to ensure project goals are met and timetable/budget parameters are kept.
- Writes/edits significant external communications pieces including management speeches and parts of annual reports.
- Focuses direction and efforts on understanding what audience is to be reached and with what message.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Primary Location Pay Range: $138,201.86 - $207,302.78Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
