  • Multi-Channel Marketing Leadership – Build and optimize acquisition programs across digital and emerging channels, including email, paid media, social platforms, search, events, and other audience development opportunities.

  • Fundraising & Revenue Growth – Create scalable donor acquisition and conversion strategies that increase fundraising performance and support key organizational campaigns and giving initiatives.

  • Audience Segmentation & Personalization – Leverage data, analytics, and audience insights to identify target segments and deliver relevant experiences that improve engagement, conversion, and retention outcomes.

  • Engagement Journey Design – Develop effective supporter pathways through content, automation, landing pages, and lifecycle marketing that deepen relationships and inspire meaningful action.

  • Marketing Performance & Optimization – Establish performance metrics and a testing culture that uses experimentation, analytics, and continuous improvement to strengthen results across the marketing funnel.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership – Collaborate closely with Communications & Marketing, Development, Events, Finance, and program teams to align messaging, audience priorities, fundraising efforts, and brand objectives.

  • Team & Vendor Leadership – Foster high-performing internal and external partnerships by providing strategic direction, coaching, and oversight to staff, agencies, consultants, and vendors.

What You'll Bring

You are a strategic and data-driven marketing leader who excels at connecting audiences to meaningful causes. You combine strong judgment with a collaborative leadership style, balancing long-term vision with practical execution. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy solving problems through experimentation and insight, and are energized by helping mission-driven organizations grow their impact.

  • Experience managing paid media programs and digital marketing channels, including audience acquisition, conversion optimization, retention, and lifecycle engagement.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using performance metrics, segmentation, testing methodologies, and data-driven decision-making to improve results.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across communications, fundraising, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including managing, mentoring, and developing staff, agencies, consultants, or vendor partners.
  • Experience working with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms to support engagement and fundraising strategies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience leading nonprofit fundraising, digital fundraising, or donor acquisition programs.
  • Familiarity with climate, energy, advocacy, public policy, or other mission-driven sectors.
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, Google Analytics, or comparable systems.
  • Exposure to lifecycle marketing, supporter stewardship, and donor retention strategies.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed or globally operating organizations.
  • Familiarity with emerging marketing technologies, automation tools, artificial intelligence applications, or advanced audience analytics.
