Job Description

TRUEWERK is seeking an experienced Marketing Director in Denver, Colorado to shape and scale our brand as we grow our direct-to-consumer business and expand across wholesale and enterprise channels. This role partners closely with the CMO, Creative leadership, and cross-functional Team members to guide how the brand evolves as the business grows, while delivering measurable commercial impact across channels.

As Marketing Director, you will own the strategy and execution of integrated marketing programs that build brand awareness, deepen customer affinity, and drive demand. Grounded in a deep understanding of our customer and brand story, you will ensure TRUEWERK shows up clearly, consistently, and authentically across every touchpoint.

Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader who is comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels. You lead through influence, communicate clearly across functions, and bring an insights-driven mindset to problem solving. You balance big-picture thinking with practical action and thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy & Stewardship

  • Partner with the CMO, Creative leadership, agencies, and cross-functional Team members to define, refine, and bring the TRUEWERK brand to life internally and externally.
  • Steward the integrity of the brand across channels and touchpoints, ensuring consistency in voice, visuals, and point of view across DTC, wholesale, enterprise, and marketplace environments.
  • Translate brand strategy into clear brand expression, guidelines, and campaign frameworks in close partnership with Creative.
  • Apply customer, cultural, market, and competitive insights to evolve the brand in ways that strengthen relevance, differentiation, and long-term equity.

Integrated Marketing & Go-to-Market

  • Lead marketing inputs into the GTM process, shaping how brand and product stories show up across launches, campaigns, and channels.
  • Steward the brand and product marketing calendar, campaign prioritization, and briefing process, collaborating across the Team to drive demand.
  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of integrated campaigns, from early idea development through launch and optimization.
  • Collaborate to develop key brand moments and tentpoles that reinforce the TRUEWERK mission and resonate with our core audience.
  • Support earned media through targeted PR activities, including media relationships and strategic pitching as needed.

Product Marketing

  • Oversee product positioning, messaging, imagery, and go-to-market strategy across the portfolio.
  • Partner cross-functionally to bring products to life through clear, compelling storytelling that balances performance, function, and brand.
  • Ensure product launches and campaigns support both commercial objectives and long-term brand equity.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform positioning, storytelling, and channel strategy.

B2B, Wholesale & Brand Activation

  • Partner with Sales to drive strategic planning, partner engagement, and growth across Enterprise (B2B) and wholesale retail channels.
  • Develop channel- and account-specific strategies, sales enablement tools, and in-store marketing that support sell-through and brand presence.
  • Ensure brand expression remains strong, consistent, and differentiated across wholesale and enterprise environments.
  • Identify and execute brand activation opportunities that build awareness and credibility with trade professionals.

Community & Customer Understanding

  • Develop a deep understanding of trade professionals—their needs, motivations, and culture—and ensure those insights inform marketing decisions.
  • Provide strategic direction and partnership to those managing our paid and earned marketing channels (social, influencer, paid media and experiential marketing) to ensure the customer remains at the center of what we do
  • Help establish feedback loops with customers and partners to inform brand evolution, product development, and marketing strategy.

Leading Through Influence

  • Lead, mentor, and develop marketing members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and creative culture.
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing budget, performance measurement and forecasting in partnership with Finance, Commercial, and the broader leadership group.
  • Set clear priorities and expectations to ensure focus, accountability, and impact.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading integrated marketing within an omnichannel business, including direct-to-consumer and wholesale/retail.

  • Strong foundation in consumer insights and voice-of-the-customer inputs to inform brand and marketing decisions.
  • Hands-on involvement in building or actively participating in go-to-market (GTM) strategy and execution for a consumer brand.
  • Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with commercial teams, including Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Retail.
  • Exposure to operating within a seasonal, omnichannel business, ideally in Apparel, Footwear, Outdoor, or adjacent industries.

Preferred

  • Prior responsibility for leading or managing marketing Team members.
  • Ownership of, or leadership responsibility for, one or more marketing channels (e.g., social media, PR, ecommerce, paid media, influencer, experiential).
  • History of working with diverse teams, functions, or geographies.
