  • Conduct competitive and market landscape analyses to inform contracting strategies, pricing approaches, and payer positioning.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and strategic advisor to Market Access and senior stakeholders on payer dynamics, reimbursement innovation, and market opportunities.

Innovative Contracting & Deal Execution

  • Independently design, negotiate, and execute innovative payer contracts, including value‑based care, outcomes‑based agreements, shared savings, subscription models, and episodic/bundled arrangements.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Pricing, and Commercial Operations to evaluate contract economics, including ROI, margin impact, gross‑to‑net considerations, and risk‑sharing structures.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and analytical frameworks to assess contract performance and inform negotiation strategies.
  • Establish and track performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate access, utilization, revenue impact, and clinical/economic outcomes.

Market Access Enablement & Cross‑Functional Influence

  • Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with payer stakeholders, representing iRhythm as a credible expert in reimbursement innovation.
  • Influence outcomes in a matrixed environment, aligning cross‑functional teams and external partners around shared objectives without formal authority.

Thought Leadership & Enterprise Impact

  • Develop and deliver internal and external thought leadership on payer strategy, reimbursement innovation, and emerging market trends.
  • Contribute payer and customer insights to enterprise strategy discussions, innovation prioritization, and long‑range planning efforts.
  • Act as a trusted expert resource on complex payer issues, supporting leadership decision‑making through data‑driven analysis and strategic perspective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in life sciences, business, public health, or a related field. (Master’s degree strongly preferred: MBA, MPH, MS, or similar).
  • 10–12+ years of progressive experience in payer strategy, market access, healthcare consulting, or related fields, with demonstrated enterprise‑level impact as an individual contributor.
  • Deep expertise in payer contracting, reimbursement strategy, and value‑based care models across commercial and government payers.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, including hands‑on experience with contract modeling, pricing strategy, and economic evaluation.
  • Proven ability to translate clinical, HEOR, and real‑world evidence into payer‑facing value propositions.
  • Experience in diagnostics, MedTech, digital health, or healthcare innovation strongly preferred.
  • Licensed clinical background (e.g., PharmD, RN) preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic, data‑driven thinker with the ability to operate independently in complex, ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes through expertise and influence, rather than formal authority.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to scientific and non‑promotional communications is a plus.
