Position Summary/Objective

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our of Managed AP services business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of our Managed AP, ensuring operational excellence, and driving growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and accounting, extensive experience in managing outsourced services, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and delivering exceptional results.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute the FAS strategic vision, aligning it with the overall organizational goals and objectives with a strong focus on global coordination or work and standardization of processes.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for expanding the portfolio of services, including market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define the value proposition, target market segments, and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate and align the activities of finance and accounting teams across different geographical locations to ensure consistent service delivery and efficient utilization of resources.

Product Management and Innovation:

  • Drive the development and enhancement of finance and accounting outsourcing services, leveraging technology and process improvements to increase efficiency and value for clients.
  • Lead product management initiatives, identifying market trends, gathering client feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new service offerings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and using their feedback as a foundation for product development.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service quality, meeting service level agreements (SLAs), and continuously improving service delivery processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to existing clients.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the FAS day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Establish and continuously improve global standards, best practices, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency and quality across all locations.
  • Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
  • Coordinate and align departmental activities across different geographical locations to ensure consistent service delivery and efficient utilization of resources.

Financial Management:

  • Manage departmental financial performance, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, and expense control.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, providing insights and recommendations to optimize profitability and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead a diverse and geographically dispersed team providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture, promoting employee engagement, professional development, and succession planning.
  • Recruit and onboard top talent to support the growth and expansion of the FAS service portfolio.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages all employees of several departments and is responsible for managing performance and hiring within those departments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Deep understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance business processes as well as intra and inter-departmental functions and interdependencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
  • 8+ years of recent experience in Finance systems implementation, systems management, or BPaaS solution delivery (Workday preferred).
  • 5+ years managing team(s) of 20 or more professionals who can inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and growing finance and accounting services, with a strong emphasis on global coordination of work, standardization of processes, and product management.
  • Success in managing business unit P&L, focusing on growing revenue, controlling costs, and exceeding financial targets.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to drive innovation and identify growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives and stakeholders, partners, and customers at all levels across multiple regions.

Preferred Skills

  • Leader in understanding and articulating the technical feasibility of solutions with the ability to translate complex ideas into easy-to-understand concepts.
  • Management of international and remote workforces.
