What a Director, Learning Partner does at Visa
You will focus on executing the Tech Learning Strategy driven by the Senior Director of Tech Learning. This will include solutions to develop knowledge & skills and influence behavior and growth for global technical employees. The solutions will span technical domains, including Traditional AI, GenAI, Data Science & Engineering, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Cloud development among others. Your learning solutions will increase product velocity, engineering efficiency, and accelerate Visa’s expanding advisory services strategies. You will work closely with the tech domain & site learning directors, Tech go-to-market and delivery/execution teams, plus Talent Management partners and subject matter experts (SME) assigned by senior tech leadership to execute on the Sr Director’s Tech Learning strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work with colleagues to develop and implement 3Es (Education, Exposure or Experience)-based programs to improve performance and accelerate Visa’s 2030 strategy.
- Work with individual tech business unit (TLT) People Business Partners (PBP), the Tech Talent Management team and business SMEs to build deep, trusted partnerships towards understanding specific program requirements, gaining support for proposed initiatives, and executing for impact.
- Serve as the lead for technical domains, working with individual tech domain directors to ensure common understanding, alignment and efficiency across the domains within the Tech Learning strategy.
- Collaborate with other tech learning teams, people and tech partners to complete global learning needs assessments, analyze challenges, and create programs that meet current and future skills and development needs.
- Manage Tech Domain team individual contributor performance and growth including individual technical domain directors.
- Act as a technical domain owner, driving the solutions for one or more technical domains.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with technical SMEs and mid-level tech leadership across the enterprise to ensure strong alignment of outcomes to developed learning solutions.
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of the business, including internal and external trends across technical domains, and stay ahead on developing technical areas within both the payments and technology industries. Ensure impact metrics are agreed to and reported to the business consistently across all tech domain learning solutions.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in software engineering, research & product development.
- Experience working with Generative AI, particularly for learning use cases.
- Experience quantifying ROI for key initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change to improve efficiency and effectiveness of commercial learning solutions.
- 10-12 years’ experience in client-facing roles with increasing responsibility including leading a client-facing team and developing training programs in a technology company
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate, consult and influence leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues to drive business results.
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in an organization.
- Demonstrable track record of using metrics and analytics to drive decision making and increased value generation.
- Deep knowledge of technology domains, preferably technologies relevant to the payments industry.
- Strong executive presence and technical acumen is a must.
- Passion for learning and providing effective evidence-based learning experiences for employees.
- Ability to comprehend and translate complex technical concepts into terms that are easy to understand for non-technical audiences in a persuasive manner.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing requirements, content and strategies.
- Fluent English required.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 153,600.00 to 222,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
