Job Description:

Broadcom Software is seeking an executive to lead the vSphere Kubernetes Service (vKS) Application Engineering organization. This global role combines deep technical expertise with executive leadership, shaping how enterprises adopt VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) as the core infrastructure platform for modern applications.

The successful candidate will guide strategic customer engagements, drive vKS adoption and standardization as kubernetes platform of choice in enterprise, and build a world-class business development and application engineering team. With expertise spanning cloud-native platforms, application modernization, and enterprise infrastructure, this leader will ensure Broadcom delivers differentiated business outcomes and establishes VCF as the foundation for modern applications in enterprise private cloud.

Key Accountabilities
  • Global Strategy Leadership – Define and execute the worldwide vKS vision and operating model aligned to Broadcom’s private cloud strategy

  • Executive Engagement – Represent Broadcom with enterprise CIOs/CTOs; influence technology roadmaps and secure strategic Kubernetes workload commitments

  • Strategic Customer Engagement – Partner with account executives to position VCF as the enterprise application platform of choice.

  • End-to-End Architecture Leadership – Design and validate solutions across application, infrastructure, and DevSecOps domains (VCF + vKS + Tanzu + third-party technologies).

  • Technology Guidance – Provide senior-level guidance on Kubernetes, cloud-native adoption, DevOps/CI/CD, and enterprise requirements (HA, scalability, security, DR).

  • Sales & Delivery Support – Partner with account teams to support the full customer lifecycle, from presales and sizing through PS scope definition and execution oversight.

  • Execution Excellence – Oversee technical delivery, resolve architectural challenges, and influence product direction in collaboration with engineering and support teams.

  • Organizational Leadership – Build, scale, and inspire a global team of application engineers; establish frameworks, best practices, and measurable success criteria.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
     

Required Skills & Expertise
  • 15+ years of leadership in enterprise solution architecture, 7+ years in cloud native and container solution architecture, with global scope

  • Program Execution & Accountability – Proven ability to run a high-visibility global program: setting goals, defining metrics and controls, identifying risks, and reporting progress and solutions to executive leadership

  • Executive Presence – Ability to influence senior enterprise stakeholders and align technology strategy to business outcomes.

  • Strong track record in scaling adoption of Kubernetes, containers, or modern application platforms in complex enterprise environments.

  • Financial Industry Knowledge – Deep understanding of application and infrastructure landscapes within regulated enterprises

  • Application Architecture – Experience with monoliths, microservices, APIs, and event-driven designs.

  • Cloud-Native Technologies – Kubernetes, containers, and leading platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE, RHOS).

Highly Desirable

  • Middleware & Development Frameworks – ESB, messaging, API management, databases, Spring, React.

  • DevOps/CI/CD – Strong background in pipeline automation, tooling, and deployment practices.

  • Enterprise Requirements – Expertise in HA, scalability, security, RTO/RPO standards.

  • Infrastructure Knowledge – Strong grasp of networking, storage, backup, BCP/DR.

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits 

The annual base salary range for this position is $187,500 - $300,000.

 

As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth. All subject to relevant plan documents and award agreements.
