The Impact of a Director (Head of), Marketing: DACH, Benelux & Nordicsat Coupa:
We are seeking a passionate, results-driven Field Marketing Director to craft and execute innovative strategies for driving new business and cross-sell opportunities across a critical growth region for Coupa. This leader will partner closely with Sales, manage a team, and create comprehensive strategies to build, influence, and accelerate the sales pipeline. The role demands excellence in GTM alignment, campaign strategy, operational execution, and measurement. It is highly collaborative and requires coordination across cross-functional teams to orchestrate multi-channel programs. The ideal candidate is a practical self-starter who takes ownership and enjoys working directly with salespeople, partners, and customers. The position reports to the SVP, International Marketing and is open to candidates based across Germany.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Revenue & Pipeline Growth: Develop data-driven, multi-channel growth strategies and programs—in close collaboration with Sales and leadership—to support quarterly revenue goals, improve account penetration, and drive expansion opportunities in the existing customer base (Mid-Market and Enterprise $1B+).
- Regional Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution: Align GTM motions to focus accounts and industries within the DACH, Benelux, and Nordic regions, adapting strategies to meet specific regional and country-level market needs.
- Cross-Functional Campaign Design & Delivery: Design and independently execute multi-channel campaigns targeting key personas in partnership with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams, leveraging the existing marketing operations ecosystem and tools for optimal results.
- Performance Measurement & Optimization: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) and in-depth analysis of data to measure and optimize customer growth initiatives, continuously refining strategies and programs based on industry best practices.
- Sales Enablement & Customer-Centric Advocacy: Meet weekly with the Sales team to ensure alignment on marketing priorities, advocate for sales needs, and support the planning and management of events/webinars in partnership with the Events team to showcase customer value.
What You'll Bring To Coupa:
- 15+ Years B2B Marketing: Minimum of 15 years in Enterprise B2B marketing, demand generation, or digital marketing, approaching the role with a required can-do attitude.
- ABM & MarTech Proficiency: Extensive prior experience developing and implementing 1:few or 1:many ABM programs, leveraging key MarTech tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase/6sense).
- Data & Financial Management: Strong focus on data and metrics, including comfort with forecasting, reporting, and budget management.
- Strategic Self-Starter: A strategic, self-starter capable of strong cross-functional project management and navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Multilingual & Travel: Proficiency in a second language (French or German) is required, and the role involves some expected travel.
