The Director, FP&A will report directly to the VP, FP&A. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on leader to scale the FP&A function and serve as a strategic partner in driving the company’s growth and performance.
This individual must possess a strong analytical mindset and a proven track record of effectively managing planning activities within a mid-size to large complex B2B Technology organization. The Director, FP&A will lead performance analysis and reporting, provide actionable insights to improve results, and act as a trusted business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Operations leadership.
Primary duties include:
· Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of finance professionals (team of 5)
· Own Actuals, Budget, and Forecast for all topline metrics (Revenue, Bookings, ARR, Billings, etc.) and support the Sales & Marketing organization.
· Lead annual planning, monthly and quarterly forecasting, management reporting, and business analytics for areas of responsibility.
· Oversee commission administration and forecasting, and partner with Revenue Operations on commission plan design and quota setting.
· Leverage the FP&A software (Pigment), Salesforce, and NetSuite data to translate business performance into clear, actionable insights. Build and maintain monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages highlighting trends and performance across Sales & Marketing.
· Deliver detailed variance analysis and commentary across key topline drivers, including bookings, churn, revenue, backlog, and ARR.
· Prepare business cases to support new investments and/or strategic initiatives.
· Act as a key advisor to Sales and Operations leaders on commercial terms and business decisions.
· Design and implement scalable processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes.
· Present financial results and plans to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
· Drive continuous improvement to produce innovation in reporting, planning and analysis.
· Additional ad hoc duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
· 10+ years of progressive finance and leadership experience within B2B technology/software companies, ideally with recurring revenue models and Private Equity (PE) ownership
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize insights into a clear, strategic narrative. Proven ability to assess risks and opportunities within financial projections.
· Strong business acumen, including a solid understanding of sales strategy and operations.
· Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and scale finance capabilities within a growing organization.
· Deep expertise in topline KPIs, including ARR and related SaaS metrics.
· Proven track record designing and managing complex commission plans in B2B tech environments.
· Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Additional Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration required, MBA or equivalent preferred
· Experience in US GAAP / ASC606 revenue recognition is an asset.
· Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, engaged teams.
· Strong technical and financial modeling capabilities.
· Experience with Pigment or similar FP&A tools (e.g. Adaptive), Salesforce required.
