Maxar Space is seeking a Director of Accounting/FP&A Reporting to help manage our day to day Financial Reporting activities and coordination for our Palo Alto CA offices. This position may also be performed remotely within the U.S. and will report to Maxar Space's Senior Director Accounting, Finance, & FP&A.

• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $165,000.00 - $275,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $173,000.00 - $287,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting process including management and owner reporting as well as various special analyses.
- Working closely with the Accounting and Finance teams, continually improve the visibility and reportability of financial data
- Manage the day-to-day finance interface with our parent company, Advent
- Along with other leaders, responsible for compliance, both review and systemic
- Define, benchmark and implement operational best practices across Accounting, Finance and FP&A
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances and reporting
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 12 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance including 4 years of experience of management level experience
- Strong understanding of, and prior experience with, percent complete revenue recognition
- Knowledge of Financial Information Systems requirements/needs
- Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Superior organizational skills for a continually evolving environment
- Able to work in a dynamic, complex environment as a self-starter who can quickly understand and develop processes
- Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members
