The Gogo Director of Facilities is fully responsible for the overall daily operation, strategic development, and infrastructure of Gogo's facilities and offices worldwide. This includes the productivity and well-being of its employees, safeguarding company assets and property, and the maintenance and operations of office equipment.  

The qualified, tech-savvy candidate will have an eye toward the business side of facilities management while being attuned to the nuts and bolts of ensuring our facilities provide a safe, engaging, and productive environment for our teams.

How will you make a difference? 

  • Collaborate with Executive Management to develop and implement plans for Gogo’s facilities vision and growth 

  • Manage all new construction and renovation of facilities projects defining framework for facilities objectives, operation schedule, processes, and budgets 

  • Responsible for the evaluation and acquisition of equipment, devices, contracts, and vendors, negotiating cost effective pricing. Assure that all supplies, equipment, physical space and other resources are properly managed, stocked, and maintained 

  • Maintain offices in a safe, operational and energy efficient manner and ensure that OSHA and other regulation standards are met 

  • Develop and manage facilities budgets for all offices and ensure compliance with legal requirements, building rules and applicable ordinances 

  • Maximum emphasis is placed on providing a positive response to the concerns and needs of the employees and being flexible enough to adjust processes and resources to meet changing requirements 

  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications 

  • Responsible for near and long-term space planning, including keeping up with the seating maps 

  • Ultimately responsible for continual communication/interaction with the building landlord(s) or managing agents(s) relating to the interior and exterior conditions and any facilities-related projects or initiatives Gogo undertakes (build-outs etc.) to include lease management and any negotiations 

  • Establish and manage to facilities budget for each office location 

  • Partner with administrative staff on meeting and special event set up and clean up 

  • Collaborate with Safety team on emergency office planning including fire drills and others  

  • Travel between office locations will be required and may set up new office locations 

 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Business or equivalent experience 

  • 7-12 years of Facilities Management experience in a corporate environment 

  • 5+ years of direct management experience 

  • Available for on-call responsibilities outside of business hours in emergency situations 

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and comfortable walking or standing for extended periods of time 

  • Travel requirements: up to 20% domestically  

Required Skills, Talents, & Experience 

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects with strong time management skills 

  • Familiarity with leases, negotiations and construction management 

  • Global Facilities experience 

  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task 

  • Capable of strategic thinking with strong quantitative and qualitative analytic abilities and creative problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines 

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)

Base Pay:

112,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 20% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
