Job Overview
The Director, Design Integration – AI Data Centers will serve as the owner-side technical lead responsible for coordinating, reviewing, and integrating engineering and design activities across CleanSpark's AI Data Center portfolio.
This role works closely with Development, Power, Construction, Operations, and external engineering consultants to ensure design deliverables align with operational requirements, constructability, infrastructure standards, and deployment objectives.
The Director will serve as a key technical resource supporting scalable and repeatable AI data center deployments while helping reduce dependency on external design partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead review and coordination of engineering and design deliverables across multiple AI data center projects
- Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, utility, and network infrastructure disciplines
- Manage external engineering and design consultants Support development and enforcement of Basis of Design (BoD) standards
- Review technical studies, engineering reports, drawings, and consultant recommendations Identify design risks, constructability concerns, and integration issues early in the project lifecycle Support utility coordination, path-to-power planning, and site infrastructure readiness
- Partner with Development, Construction, Power, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between design intent and deployment objectives
- Drive consistency and standardization across multiple site deployments
- Provide technical recommendations and updates to project and executive leadership

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, energy, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering and design activities
- Strong understanding of site development, utility infrastructure, and integrated facility design
- Experience managing engineering consultants and technical stakeholders
- Ability to review engineering drawings, technical reports, and infrastructure studies
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI, hyperscale, HPC, mission-critical, or data center environments
- Civil engineering or infrastructure development background preferred
- Experience supporting Basis of Design (BoD), design integration, and constructability reviews
- PE, RA, PMP, or similar professional certification preferred
- Experience supporting owner-side development or infrastructure delivery organizations
