The Director, Demand Generation, defines the strategy and plan to drive qualified pipeline leads and revenue. This is a high-impact role for someone who is deeply operational, highly analytical, technically fluent, and results-oriented. You’ll turn frameworks, messaging, and GTM priorities into high-performing, repeatable programs. You will manage both digital and field programs, partner closely with Ops and Sales, and help build the scalable campaign engine that powers Vumedi’s revenue growth.
What you’ll do:
- Own the demand generation strategy and annual plan to support Vumedi's bookings target across pharma brand teams, agencies, and biotech advertisers.
- Build account-level targeting and segmentation for ABM programs across top pharma advertisers and key holding company agencies.
- Own pipeline coverage, conversion rates, CAC, and CAC payback across marketing-sourced and influenced opportunities as well as BD outreach. Report monthly to the executive team on contribution to new business opportunities and bookings.
- Build the campaign operating system: launch playbooks, creative brief templates, channel SLAs, and reporting cadences that scale across product launches and brand campaigns.
- Define the experimentation roadmap across paid, lifecycle, and content channels with documented win rates and budget reallocation decisions.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Content, BD, and Sales to translate positioning into campaign briefs and ensure SDR follow-up converts inbound demand into qualified pipeline.
- Partner with Marketing Ops on attribution, lead routing, and platform strategy across HubSpot, Salesforce, ABM tooling, and paid media platforms.
- Lead conference and event marketing strategy across priority pharma and HCP marketing events, including pre-event, on-site, and post-event programs.
- Drive awareness and demand for product launches through integrated campaigns spanning paid media, content, lifecycle, and field activation.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of B2B demand generation experience, including 3+ years owning a pipeline number at a SaaS, media, or healthcare company.
- Track record running integrated campaigns targeting enterprise buyers with 6+ month sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Hands-on expertise across paid search, paid social (LinkedIn especially), lifecycle and email marketing, and website conversion optimization.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot and Salesforce.
- AI fluency required. You actively use AI tools to scale content production, analysis, and campaign workflows.
- Comfortable in spreadsheets and BI tools. You can pull pipeline reporting, identify what's working, and make budget reallocation decisions without waiting for Ops.
- Experience partnering with Sales leadership and influencing executive stakeholders on pipeline strategy and resource allocation.
- Fluency in pharma marketing, HCP audiences, and the agency ecosystem.
Why Work at Vumedi:
- Career changing opportunity to help build a healthcare startup with an exponentially growing viewership
- Make a direct impact in the growth of the company
- Be a part of a company that is beloved by doctors and improves patient care every day
This is a hybrid role based in our Oakland, CA headquarters. Remote candidates with quarterly travel to Oakland will be considered.
