As our Director, Data Science, you will build high-end analytic models, utilizing supervised and unsupervised learning models, to support decision makers with data driven insights that address immediate business problems and objectives. To thrive in this role, you must have a specialty around machine learning, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, optimization, or advanced statistics.
Here's what you will experience working as a Director, Data Science
Prepares and manipulates structured and unstructured data for data discovery and mining from multiple disparate resources.
Creates informative visualizations that intuitively display large amounts of data and/or complex relationships; translates data analytics into coherent reports and presentations for internal and external customer with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
Routinely uses anonymized or encrypted data.
Prototypes solutions using varied resources, including both commercial and open-source software.
Required Skills:
Master’s degree (or equivalent training/relevant experience) in fields that include strong coverage of applied mathematics and statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
5+ years' experience working as a Data Scientist, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Experience using R or Python to program machine learning models
Knowledge of deploying models and reports into cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).
Ability to visualize data and model results utilizing a modern BI tool (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.).
Advanced knowledge of machine learning modeling techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, and NLP) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
