About Us
Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. Nutrition-related chronic disease is the largest and most overlooked crisis in the world. Food can be medicine: working with a Registered Dietitian is one of the most effective interventions available, but <1% of eligible Americans use their covered benefits.

Nourish is building an AI-native, patient-friendly healthcare system centered on nutrition that improves outcomes, lowers costs, and helps people live healthier, longer lives. We launched three years ago, are live in all 50 states, and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform.

We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised $115M from top-tier VCs including JP Morgan Growth Equity, Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Maverick Ventures, Box Group, Atomico, G Squared, and Pinegrove Venture Partners. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role

As the Director, Credentialing & Licensing Strategy at Nourish, you’ll lead the strategy, operations, and team responsible for ensuring every Nourish provider is credentialed, licensed, and ready to deliver care to patients nationwide. You’ll oversee and scale a critical function that underpins our ability to grow, ensuring our systems and processes enable both compliance and speed as we expand.

You’ll define the long-term vision and roadmap for the Credentialing & Licensing function - building a high-performing team, driving process innovation, and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to modernize the provider credentialing & licensing experience. Your leadership will directly impact how Nourish brings new providers online efficiently, accurately, and compliantly.

This is a highly cross-functional, strategic role at the intersection of healthcare operations, technology, and provider experience. You’ll lead the Cred & Licensing Managers and their teams, collaborate with internal and external partners, and shape the future of how Nourish scales its care delivery network. This role reports directly to the Head of RCM and will have a significant hand in shaping the success of RCM at Nourish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Credentialing & Licensing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and operational excellence.
  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the function, aligning with company goals and ensuring scalability as Nourish expands into new markets.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, and Engineering to enhance systems, streamline workflows, and implement automation that reduces manual effort.
  • Drive continuous improvement, proactively identifying and executing on opportunities to strengthen efficiency, compliance, and provider satisfaction.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding, ensuring strong leadership pipelines and high-quality training materials for all new team members.
  • Establish and manage key performance metrics, leveraging data to guide decisions, track success, and identify areas for optimization.
  • Serve as the operational liaison for enterprise contract activations, ensuring credentialing and licensing processes scale effectively with new business growth.
We’d love to hear from you if:
  • You have 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations with at least 3+ years in people leadership roles.
  • You’re a strategic operator who can balance long-term vision with hands-on execution.
  • You have experience leading multi-layered teams, developing managers, and scaling operational functions.
  • You excel at cross-functional collaboration, building strong partnerships with technical, operational, and external stakeholders.
  • You’re passionate about process improvement and innovation, with a track record of implementing scalable systems and workflows.
  • You’re data-driven and outcome-oriented, using metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and are energized by building structure in growing organizations.
  • Experience in telehealth, credentialing, payer enrollment, or licensing is a strong plus but not required.
