Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Corporate Development Leader to spearhead the inorganic growth and strategic initiatives of our company. Your advanced analytical expertise, strategic acumen, and leadership skills will be essential in identifying, evaluating, and executing key opportunities that drive our long-term business objectives and transformation goals. Join us and lead the charge in shaping the future of our company through strategic corporate development and transformational growth. 

What You Will Be Responsible for:

Strategic Leadership and Vision 

  • Define and articulate the corporate development strategy, aligning it with the company's overarching vision and growth ambitions. 

  • Provide executive leadership in identifying and prioritizing strategic opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments. 

  • Develop and implement a long-term roadmap for inorganic growth, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of industry innovation and market leadership. 

Advanced Strategic Analysis 

  • Lead comprehensive financial analyses, including advanced valuation techniques, complex financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis, to assess the attractiveness and feasibility of potential deals. 

  • Provide actionable insights into market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics to influence strategic decision-making. 

  • Guide DTN’s capabilities prioritization and Build-Buy-Partner decisioning on critical capabilities, collaborating closely with Product and Partnerships teams on execution. 

Market Intelligence and Opportunity Identification 

  • Proactively monitor global industry trends, adjacent markets, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to identify high-impact growth areas and strategic opportunities. 

  • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend and implement initiatives that enhance the company's competitive advantage and market position. 

  • Evaluate new markets for DTN to enter, identifying key problems to be solved and strategic entry points, including market sizing, competitive analysis, customer needs analysis, and build-buy-partner analysis. 

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication 

  • Present complex financial analyses and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and ownership in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. 

  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, building robust relationships and fostering strategic partnerships. 

  • Lead direct and cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, ensuring alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives. 

Deal Execution and Integration 

  • Oversee end-to-end deal execution, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and integration planning. 

  • Ensure successful transaction outcomes through meticulous planning, collaboration, and execution. 

  • Lead post-merger integration efforts, working with operational teams to ensure seamless transitions, achievement of synergies, and realization of strategic goals. 

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a focus on M&A and strategic analysis.  

  • Proven track record of driving successful mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships in a leadership role. 

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and financial modeling skills. 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization. 

  • Deep knowledge of industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes. 

  • Ability to navigate complex negotiations and drive successful transaction outcomes 

  • Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations in the corporate development landscape.

  • Experience in defining post-merger integration plans in support of strategic deal objectives. 

  • Experience developing team members for increasing impact on the business and skill development

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $146,250 and $195,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
