PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $194,400.00-$237,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $151,400.00 - $280,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As the Director of Product Management – Consumer Credit Card at BECU, you’ll be the visionary leader behind our Rewards Consumer Credit Card portfolio. You will drive growth through new cardholder acquisitions and existing cardholder engagement, ensuring exceptional member value. Your leadership will guide a team to plan, execute, and measure programs that grow and engage our portfolio, making a direct impact on BECU’s success.

To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, SC, and AZ. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila HQ, we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week.  For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Define the Vision: Develop and oversee the Rewards Consumer Credit Card portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap.

  • Drive Growth: Develop and implement strategies to acquire new credit card customers and maximize the value of existing cardholders.

  • Lead Development: Lead the development of product and pricing recommendations that align with BECU’s strategic, financial, and growth goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risks.

  • Analyze Data: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, customer behaviors, and areas for improvement.

  • Manage Financials: Oversee product financials including P&L, cost allocations, financial projections, and budget reporting. Approve expenses.

  • Collaborate with Marketing: Partner with the Marketing team on product marketing initiatives, identify and capitalize on market opportunities, and develop strategies to address penetration gaps.

  • Enhance User Experience: Collaborate with the User Experience and Design organization to execute discovery and research, delivering exceptional member and employee experience journeys.

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work with cross-functional teams, including credit, risk, compliance, customer service, and finance, to support the Credit Card program's success.

  • Evaluate Feedback: Gather and assess feedback for new and existing products, identify opportunities, and integrate findings into BECU’s long-term strategies. Share insights throughout the organization.

  • Provide Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of competitive trends and the evolution of tools and strategies to engage and delight customers.

  • Foster Research and Development: Ensure continuous improvement through research, concept development, and delivery of products and services.

  • Capture Insights: Assess insights and lessons learned over time, and modify the vision and roadmap as needed.

  • Identify Partners: Identify necessary industry partners and collaborators across the capability ecosystem.

  • Mentor and Guide: Provide mentorship and guidance at all organizational levels, facilitating information sharing among team members.

  • Coach and Develop Team: Offer ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to enable growth and development. Meet regularly with staff to provide feedback on goals and competencies.

  • Perform Additional Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline.

  • Typically requires 8 years of relevant Product experience, including Consumer Credit Card experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of people leader experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.

  • Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.

  • Ability to proactively identify business and customer needs and opportunities, overcome barriers, and formulate solutions with minimal supervision.

  • Experience leading cross functional teams.

  • Previous experience understanding and determining product strategies based on the voice of the customer.

  • Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations that impact financial institutions industry.

  • Understanding of Product P&L, member value, and return on investment/return on assets drivers.

  • Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.

  • Knowledge of Product P&L, member value, and ROI/ROA drivers.
