The Opportunity:
The Director, Cloud Computing & Infrastructure Management will design, implement, and oversee the architecture of critical IT systems and infrastructure at Gloo360. This role is pivotal in ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with both organizational and client needs. The Director, Cloud Computing & Infrastructure Management will collaborate with internal teams, leadership, customers and stakeholders to define technology strategies and develop solutions that drive innovation and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution. This position is remote based at our headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.
What You'll Be Doing:
- System Architecture Design & Implementation

- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures for Gloo360's systems and infrastructure.
- Design solutions that integrate across platforms and align with business goals and customer needs.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies to optimize performance and scalability.
- Ensure system designs meet security and compliance standards, addressing evolving cybersecurity threats.
- Technology Strategy

- Define and maintain architectural standards, principles, and best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish technology strategies and roadmaps.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to guide innovation at Gloo360.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

- Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of system designs.
- Act as a technical advisor for internal teams and clients, providing guidance on architectural decisions.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

- Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
- Oversee root cause analysis for critical system issues and drive the implementation of preventative measures.
- Monitor and improve the scalability, reliability, and availability of Gloo360's systems.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

- Develop comprehensive documentation for system designs, standards, and processes.
- Mentor and train team members to build architectural expertise within the organization.
- Lead discussions and presentations on system architecture and technical strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in systems architecture or a similar role, including leadership responsibilities.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), databases, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Compensation: $135,000 - $215,000
