SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Director of Business Development to own and grow lead-generating partnerships. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, managing, growing and optimizing partner relationships that drive lead generation at attractive unit economics.
This is an execution-oriented, performance-driven role. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and motivated by clear goals and substantial performance-based compensation potential. Success in this role will be measured by achievement of strategic objectives, revenue growth and the efficiency and scalability of the partnership program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner Program Leadership
  • Build and manage a portfolio of lead generating partnerships. Primary point of contact for partners, managing day-to-day relationships and performance.
  • Own end-to-end execution, including sourcing, onboarding and optimization of partnerships.
Lead Generation & Economics Performance
  • Accountable for partner-sourced lead performance.
  • Manage the partner-level unit economics, including cost per lead, funnel conversion, and revenue.
  • Monitor performance against goals, identify underperformance, and implement corrective actions quickly. Determine what works and invest to expand and expand.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize funnel performance and partner effectiveness.
Sourcing, Negotiation & Deal Execution
  • Identify and recruit new partners capable of driving material, quality lead volume at attractive unit economics.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, product implementation, and performance expectations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (product, marketing, legal, IT, and others) to onboard and execute implementations.
  • Ability to develop and convert large and highly strategic partnerships.
Optimization & Ongoing Management
  • Continuously test, analyze, and optimize partner programs to improve lead quality and economics.
  • Conduct regular partner performance reviews and communicate expectations clearly.
  • Identify opportunities to scale high-performing partners and sunset underperforming ones.
  • Implement and maintain accurate and scalable tracking, documentation and reporting for partner activities.
  • Forecast partner performance and pipeline with discipline and accuracy.
  • Ensure high levels of organization across deals, contracts, and partner communications.
Strategic Thinking and Guidance
  • Be an advocate for the partnership program, implementing processes, technological and other improvements to increase its effectiveness, scalability and success.
  • Develop and present strategic recommendations for the partnership program to leadership
  • Lead and achieve strategic initiatives tied to the partnership program.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, lead channel or B2B sales, referral or affiliate program leadership
  • Strategic thinker with high-level business acumen.
  • Demonstrated success building partnership programs, including driving lead generation and hitting partner economics objectives.
  • Executive-level presence. Strong communication skills and excellent relationship builder.
  • Strong comfort with numbers, performance metrics, and financial trade-offs.
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing partner relationships independently.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with performance-based compensation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional communication skills with external partners.
Preferred
  • Experience working in automotive, marketplace, platform, fintech, or lead-driven businesses.
  • Familiarity with partnership technology platforms, tracking tools, or partner management systems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.

COMPENSATION
Base Salary: 130-140 K

Plus, Bonus Potential-Bonus based upon performance
