We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead OnTech's growth through new partnerships and direct-to-consumer initiatives. This role is critical in shaping our market approach and expanding our presence as a leader in smart home services. You'll oversee a high-performing team responsible for driving revenue, building partnerships, and capturing new market opportunities
You'll collaborate cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and operations to scale initiatives that strengthen OnTech's position in the rapidly evolving Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors.

- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing business development team.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and foster a results-oriented culture.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent to support strategic goals.
- Oversee team budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.
Strategy & Growth Execution
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
- Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and define go-to-market plans.
- Expand OnTech's reach through direct-to-consumer channels and strategic partnerships.
- Define and track KPIs to measure success and report progress to executive leadership.
Partner & Client Engagement
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead complex negotiations, proposals, and RFP responses to close deals.
- Manage and grow relationships with key clients and partners.
- Monitor and optimize performance of ongoing partnerships.
Market & Industry Leadership
- Maintain expertise in the smart home ecosystem and adjacent industries.
- Represent OnTech at industry events, conferences, and forums to strengthen brand presence and source new opportunities.
- Provide insights to inform product development and customer experience strategies.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years in sales and business development roles, including a track record of closing high-value partnerships.
- 5+ years in a leadership role with responsibility for team performance and development.
Skills:
- Proven success in identifying, negotiating, and closing business opportunities.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and performance management abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.
- Strong business acumen with analytical and problem-solving skills

- Deep understanding of the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications landscape
- Experience in direct-to-consumer channels and digital service models.
