Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy for RAN and device operations in alignment with business goals and evolving technology trends.
- AI Integration: Lead the evaluation and implementation of AI/ML tools to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and reduce manual intervention across the network and device landscape.
- Tool Development: Oversee the design and deployment of internal tools to support network performance, predictive maintenance, and device lifecycle optimization.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Product, IT, and Data Science teams to align automation initiatives with technical capabilities and operational needs.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends and bring innovative approaches to improve network reliability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of automation and AI professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of automation initiatives, including efficiency gains, cost savings, and improvements in network quality.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in wireless technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on RAN automation, device technology, or AI/ML initiatives.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving end-to-end automation strategy in a telecom or high-tech environment.
- Strong understanding of RAN technologies, 5G networks, and device ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks used in automation.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and network function virtualization (NFV).
- Familiarity with telecom standards (3GPP, O-RAN) and industry practices.
- Demonstrated success in delivering AI/automation solutions at scale.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
