Based in Washington, D.C., Quorum is a fast-growing software company and is the leading provider of workflow software and information services for government affairs professionals across the corporations, non-profits, associations, and governmental end-markets. Quorum allows users to manage stakeholder engagement, launch grassroots advocacy campaigns, and track legislative activity at all levels of government, including federal, state and local.

Quorum provides mission-critical solutions to public affairs professionals for their work in Congress, all 50 state legislatures, major U.S. cities, the European Union, and 30+ countries around the globe. Quorum serves over 2,000 customers globally including over 50% of the Fortune 100, and has over 350 team members across the globe.

As Director of Account Management, you will play a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of Account Managers focused on driving customer outcomes and business growth across our post-sale lifecycle. You will manage a team already in place, guiding them to improve product adoption, retention, customer sentiment, and expansion across an Enterprise customer base. This role combines strategic oversight with day-to-day management and coaching, and reports directly to the Vice President of Account Management.

You’ll be expected to lead by example—jumping into complex customer situations when needed, reinforcing best practices, and identifying team and process improvements that enhance both customer experience and business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a player-coach who is ready to step into a broader leadership role while continuing to work closely with both customers and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Directly manage and develop a team of Account Managers; provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Actively support Account Managers in complex renewal and expansion conversations and customer escalations.
  • Drive team performance against key KPIs including ARR retention and growth, product adoption, customer sentiment, and value realization.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support to streamline the customer journey and remove friction in internal processes.
  • Identify team- and process-level improvements; implement repeatable playbooks and engagement strategies that lead to measurable results.
  • Share feedback and insights across departments to improve product development, messaging, and overall customer experience.
  • Represent the team in internal planning and strategy discussions and help prioritize operational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, or similar post-sale customer-facing roles in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams while driving accountability and alignment to business goals.
  • Experience operating as a player-coach—comfortable both managing and directly engaging with customer accounts when needed.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics and expectations of Mid-Market customers and a working knowledge of effective account management tactics for this segment.
  • Demonstrated success in improving team KPIs, increasing customer retention, and identifying growth opportunities within customer portfolios.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across GTM functions.
  • Proficiency in key tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, G-Suite, and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to help drive customer success operations.
