ESE works across business functions to modernize processes, simplify the technology landscape, advance AI-enabled ways of working, and deliver strategic outcomes. Its Strategy & Transformation team connects ESE strategy to execution through portfolio and program leadership, value management, change enablement, and operational coordination.

Role purpose
ESE is strengthening its finance technology product capabilities to ensure UKG’s finance platforms scale with the business, maintain strong financial controls, and deliver measurable outcomes for Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, and Treasury.
As a member of ESE’s GBO Solutions team, the Director - Product Management will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for UKG’s enterprise finance technology platforms, leading a portfolio that spans Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Revenue Recognition, Tax, and Treasury. The role combines product leadership, finance process expertise, and people management across ERP, financial applications, data platforms, and AI-enabled automation.
This leader will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, Sales Operations, and technology teams to translate business priorities into scalable, integrated products and measurable outcomes. Success requires balancing enterprise transformation with continuous improvement, operational reliability, financial controls, and user adoption.

What you will do
Lead finance technology product strategy and portfolio
• Define and own the finance technology product vision, multiyear strategy, and integrated roadmap across the finance ecosystem.
• Translate business objectives into prioritized product investments, capabilities, and releases with clear outcomes and success measures.
• Establish a consistent product operating model covering discovery, business cases, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and benefits realization.
• Manage portfolio dependencies across finance, procurement, commercial, and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop investment proposals and funding recommendations supported by ROI, total cost of ownership, and capital and operating expense analysis.
• Partner with engineering and enterprise architecture to balance business requirements, platform capabilities, technical debt, integration complexity, and long-term scalability.
• Lead build-versus-buy evaluations, vendor selection, implementation partner strategy, and product lifecycle decisions.

• Align product managers, engineering teams, architects, implementation partners, and business stakeholders on scope, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
• Establish clear product ownership and end-to-end accountability across ERP and surrounding applications.
• Partner with architecture and data teams on integration patterns, master data governance, reporting consistency, and enterprise data models.
• Ensure security, privacy, segregation of duties, financial controls, and audit requirements are embedded in product design and delivery.
• Balance new capability development with system reliability, supportability, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational readiness, stakeholder communication, training, and adoption planning for significant releases and transformations.
Advance AI, automation, and analytics
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI, intelligent automation, and self-service across finance workflows.
• Develop use cases such as supplier support, contract intelligence, spend analysis, cash application, reconciliation assistance, collections prioritization, and financial insights.

• Define measurable outcomes for automation initiatives, including reduced manual effort, improved accuracy, faster cycle times, and better user experiences.
• Advance finance analytics and reporting capabilities that support operational decisions and executive visibility.
Build the product team and lead stakeholders
• Build, lead, and develop a team of product managers and business analysts or product owners.
• Establish clear ownership, performance expectations, career development plans, and succession opportunities.
• Coach teams in product discovery, financial process understanding, prioritization, stakeholder management, and outcome-based delivery.
• Serve as a strategic partner to Finance leadership and communicate product strategy, investment tradeoffs, risks, and results to executive audiences.

• Foster a collaborative culture centered on accountability, continuous learning, and measurable business value.

• Order-to-Cash achieves greater billing accuracy, more automated cash application, faster dispute resolution, and improved collections outcomes.
• Revenue is processed accurately and on time, with fewer manual adjustments and stronger reconciliation and audit support.
• Tax data and integrations are more reliable, cash visibility improves, and bank connectivity and payment controls are stronger.
• Prioritized outcomes are delivered predictably, dependencies are managed effectively, and users adopt new capabilities in a sustained way.
• Finance platforms show improved reliability, data quality, and integration performance, with reduced technical debt.
• Product ownership is clear, product management capability is stronger, and the team partners effectively with business and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:
• 12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise technology, finance systems, product management, or business transformation, including 5+ years leading teams or complex product portfolios.
• Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and roadmaps for enterprise finance platforms.
• Strong knowledge of PTP, RTR, and OTC, with experience supporting revenue accounting and partnering with Tax and Treasury stakeholders.
• Experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 and their integration with adjacent finance applications.
• Experience delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple business units, geographies, or legal entities.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop product management talent.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including business case development, investment prioritization, ROI analysis, and benefits measurement.
• Working knowledge of financial controls, audit requirements, data governance, and enterprise security expectations.
• Experience with Agile delivery, product discovery, backlog management, and release planning.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting subscription, SaaS, usage-based billing, digital commerce, or other recurring-revenue business models.
• Experience with revenue accounting platforms, treasury management systems, tax engines, procurement platforms, or financial close and reconciliation tools.
• Experience with global finance transformation, ERP modernization, acquisitions, or complex platform migrations.
• Familiarity with ASC 606, IFRS 15, global tax requirements, and international finance operations.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled finance products, intelligent automation, or agent-based solutions with appropriate controls.
• Experience with financial data platforms, analytics, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Master’s degree in business, information systems, finance, or a related discipline.
• Relevant product management, Agile, ERP, accounting, or finance certifications.

Leadership profile:
You are a business-minded product leader who combines strategic vision with a deep understanding of how finance operates. You set clear product direction, make disciplined investment tradeoffs, and hold teams accountable for measurable outcomes rather than delivered features alone. You earn the trust of Finance leaders by understanding their processes, controls, and pressures, and you translate that understanding into products that scale. You coach product managers to own their domains end to end, communicate candidly with executives, and can move between multiyear strategy and the details of a close cycle or billing integration without becoming the bottleneck.
