Job Description
The Architecture, Compute, and Engineering (ACE) organization provides a transformative platform ecosystem with a comprehensive set of capabilities that empowers end users and digital product teams to innovate seamlessly and drive growth for Allstate through the Consumer Connected Cloud mission. This ecosystem aims to provide a frictionless experience for our user community.As a Digital Product Manager within ACE, you will lead Allstate’s Infrastructure Monitoring product team, a critical enabler of operational excellence across the organization. You will define, deliver, and manage the lifecycle of observability solutions that empower teams to detect, triage, and resolve issues faster, improving system reliability and customer experience. Please note team assignment may change after hire.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, deep technical understanding of observability tools and practices, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will interface with engineers, architects, product peers, and executives to drive the success of Allstate’s observability strategy.
Candidates should also expect involvement in deployment activities multiple nights per week, as required by the product release schedule. As a DPM you will be expected to participate in emergency calls when required.
Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for enterprise-wide observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces, insights).
Lead the Infrastructure Monitoring product team, delivering scalable and resilient observability capabilities across cloud and on-prem environments.
Partner with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to design and implement modern observability tooling and workflows.
Establish KPIs and use analytics to measure product performance, service reliability, and business value.
Gather user feedback, conduct market research, and translate insights into actionable product enhancements.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, writing and grooming user stories with engineering teams.
Engage and influence stakeholders—including senior leadership—to align product strategy with organizational objectives.
Mentor early career product managers and optimize Agile product ceremonies for efficiency.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure product goals, value delivery, and aligned roadmap outcomes.
Communicate product progress, risks, and outcomes to internal and external partners.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Product Management roles (e.g., Product Manager, Technical Product Manager) within a largescale enterprise or technology organization.
Minimum 2 years delivering products in Observability, Site Reliability Engineering, infrastructure operations, or platform engineering domains.
Direct experience managing end-to-end product lifecycle including roadmap creation, backlog prioritization, and Agile delivery.
Proven ability to work with and deliver outcomes using observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, Netcool, ThousandEyes, SevOne, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, and senior stakeholders to deliver technical products with measurable impact.
Experience with budget and Resource Management with regards to vendor relationships.
Desirable Skills
Experience leading products in Network, Compute, End User Computing, Infrastructure, or Platform-as-a-Service domains.
Prior exposure to SRE practices, incident management, or initiatives focused on reducing MTTR using observability insights.
Experience implementing or using AIOps, ML-driven insights, or AI-driven anomaly detection in observability platforms.
Hands-on familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), automation, or Infrastructure-as-Code within product delivery.
Experience mentoring or coaching junior product managers or contributing to product practice improvement within a tech organization.
Preferred familiarity with AI tools and application of AI within observability
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Compensation offered for this role is 110,000.00 - 181,025.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
