Role Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and resourceful Digital Marketing Manager to fuel our growth and expand our reach within the B2B SaaS space. This pivotal role focuses on a variety of digital channels, but primarily on paid digital advertising and SEO channels. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing paid media and search strategies to bring people to our websites, help to convert that traffic into qualified leads for our inbound sales team, and track lead source effectiveness all along the way.
Rustici Software makes eLearning standards based software. Our software is responsible for launching and tracking standards based online learning for millions of learners. You would join a team that guides the evolution of learning technology software products used worldwide. We are a remote/in-office hybrid company located in Franklin, TN. While we give consideration to local candidates, we are open to qualified remote candidates residing in the United States.

Key Responsibilities Paid Media and SEO, GEO/AEO Strategy 

Develop and execute paid digital advertising strategies across platforms like Google, Bing, YouTube, LinkedIn Ads, sponsored social, and other industry outlets, including:

  • Audience targeting, ad copy creation, bid strategies, and budget allocation to maximize lead generation and achieve goals.

Drive organic website traffic through SEO and other content optimization efforts by analyzing website performance and implementing strategies to enhance rankings including content optimization, and website architecture.

  • Work collaboratively with content marketing and own a holistic view of how paid campaigns interact with organic and GenAI. 
  • Stay on top of LLMs and Google's AI updates, understanding AI behavior, and experimenting with new strategies.

Conduct comprehensive keyword research that informs both paid advertising and broader content strategies

Campaign Optimization

  • Conduct continuous A/B testing on ad copy, visuals, and landing page elements to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Optimize landing pages to enhance quality scores and conversion rates with an awareness of SEO/AEO best practices for holistic page performance.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Own channel analytics across platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics and Salesforce.
  • Provide regular, insightful reports on campaign performance, key metrics and ROI and gain cross-channel insights; turn that data into actionable recommendations for all channels.  

Experimentation and Resourcefulness

  • Lead a 'test and learn' approach within paid channels, exploring new ad formats, targeting strategies, and emerging platforms (e.g. Reddit Ads) to drive growth.
  • Identify and leverage cost-effective digital advertising tools and resources (e.g. LLMs) that save resources and time.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with other Marketing team members, Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure paid media efforts align with business goals and leverage insights for strategy development.
  • Partner with design to develop creatives (ads and video) along with high-performing landing pages optimized for paid campaigns.
  • Align closely with the marketing team; share your findings to drive LLM and organic performance. 
  • Manage relationships with external ad vendors or agencies as needed.

Budget Management

  • Manage and forecast paid media budgets, ensuring optimal allocation and performance against financial targets.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in digital marketing, specifically managing paid advertising campaigns (PPC/Paid Social) and SEO. Bonus points if you have experience with B2B SaaS products, and/or Learning Technology products.
  • Proven proficiency in Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Google Analytics. Bonus points if you have certifications.
  • Highly creative problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset that centers around using qualitative and quantitative analysis to interpret paid media data and draw actionable insights.
  • Compelling communication skills – you can write, speak and present with varied styles to engage, persuade and convert.
  • Project management skills to plan and keep up with your own tasks and assignments you’ve given to others.
  • Strong working knowledge of how other digital marketing channels (e.g. email, LLMs, SEO, etc) work in tandem with paid ads. 
  • Thrives working in a collaborative environment where we all pitch in.

About the team

Marketing will be your core team to collaborate with when it comes to how our digital strategy aligns with our campaigns and to work alongside when it comes to the execution of plans. We currently have three marketers responsible for branding, events, content and product, and we all brainstorm and work together on different projects. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape future marketing strategies and bring new ideas to the table while having the 2025 framework already in place.
