Focus: Driving Adoption and Consumption of DEM; Real User Monitoring (RUM) Session Replay, Synthetic Monitoring

About the Role

Dynatrace is looking for a Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) Specialist to lead the charge in helping our customers bridge the gap between IT performance and business outcomes. The DEM Specialist is responsible for driving value and consumption of Dynatrace DEM across strategic customers. In this role, you will be the primary advocate for the "User's Perspective." You will be an expert in demonstrating how Dynatrace provides unparalleled visibility into every click, swipe, and tap across web and mobile applications, ensuring that digital interactions translate into superior customer satisfaction and revenue and/or value growth.

This role blends domain depth with sales acumen, to expand usage of RUM, Session Replay, and Synthetic Monitoring. The DEM Specialist engages directly with customers to activate DEM capabilities, increase usage, and demonstrate ongoing value through hands-on enablement and execution.

Core Responsibilities

1. Full Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) Domain Leadership

  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Dynatrace’s full DEM portfolio, representing the user’s perspective across web and mobile digital experiences.
  • Own deep technical and functional expertise across Real User Monitoring (RUM), Session Replay, and Synthetic Monitoring (web, mobile, and API).
  • Translate customer business and technical challenges into clear DEM strategies and architectures that drive measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrate the value of DEM through hands-on enablement, including reproducing user issues with Session Replay and correlating experience data with application performance.
  • Guide customers on best practices for instrumentation, data capture, and operational use of DEM data to improve digital experience.

2. Drive DEM Consumption & Expansion in Strategic Accounts

  • Own and execute DEM adoption and consumption growth within named, strategic customer accounts.
  • Lead outcome‑driven engagements focused on increasing DEM usage metrics, including sessions, replays, synthetic coverage, and monitored applications.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within accounts and personally execute the technical actions required to realize DEM value.
  • Partner closely with account teams to move customers from initial enablement to broad, sustained DEM adoption across teams, applications, and user journeys.
  • Ensure DEM data is actively operationalized by customer teams to detect, prioritize, and resolve digital experience issues.

3. Scale DEM Adoption Through Enablement & Market Content

  • Extend impact beyond direct customer engagements by creating scalable DEM enablement assets for internal teams, customers, and the broader market.
  • Develop reusable internal enablement content (playbooks, demos, best‑practice guides, POVs) to help Sales, SEs, and Specialists drive consistent DEM adoption.
  • Create customer‑facing technical content that accelerates onboarding, adoption, and operational maturity of DEM capabilities.
  • Contribute to market‑facing thought leadership (presentations, webinars, reference architectures) that position Dynatrace as the authority on digital experience monitoring.
  • Act as a force multiplier by sharing patterns, lessons learned, and proven approaches from strategic accounts across the broader Dynatrace organization.
What will help you succeed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven success operating as a senior, hands‑on individual contributor, owning both strategy and execution for complex customer engagements.
  • Strong experience in customer‑facing roles with clear alignment to commercial outcomes, adoption, and consumption growth.
  • Deep background in application performance, observability, and digital experience monitoring.
  • Hands‑on expertise across Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM), including:
    • Real User Monitoring (RUM)
    • Session Replay
    • Synthetic Monitoring (browser, mobile, API)
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile application performance fundamentals, including rendering behavior, networking, and user interaction flows.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as applied to performance analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of browser internals, Browser APIs, and modern network protocols (HTTP/2, HTTP/3, QUIC).
  • Ability to translate complex technical data into clear, outcome‑oriented narratives for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience creating or contributing to scalable enablement content (playbooks, demos, best‑practice guides) for internal teams and customers.
  • Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, execution‑focused environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, ContentSquare) and how analytics complements observability and APM.
  • Strong appreciation for User Experience (UX) and the relationship between performance, usability, and brand perception.
  • Experience with Accessibility (a11y) standards and testing.
  • Knowledge of Edge Computing and CDN technologies (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai) and their role in digital experience architectures.
