Job Summary/Description:

KKTV is searching for a digital news leader and innovator to grow audience and direct creation of local news content across digital, mobile app, streaming, and social media platforms. We are looking for a talented and experienced Digital Content Manager to join our team focused on transforming our stations' brands into 24/7 digital news operations. The application deadline is 3/11/2026.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Lead the digital content team and direct digital strategy focusing on website, mobile app, and streaming audiences.
- Lead the overall newsroom content strategy, developing workflows that deliver content 24/7 across current and future platforms.
- Lead newsroom responses to breaking news and disruptive weather, ensuring a digital-first approach to serving the audience.
- Champion the creation of digital-specific content, including, but not limited to, vertical short-form videos, longer-form text/visual content, and unique content for our emerging streaming platforms.
- Evolve content for social media channels.
- Analyze and share digital metrics to inform editorial and strategic decisions.
- Participate in ongoing newsroom training to implement best practices in creating digital content appropriate for various platforms and social media channels.
- Participate in Gray Media's collaborative efforts to evolve digital, streaming, and social strategies.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrable experience in digital journalism; broadcast-related experience preferred.
- Demonstrable experience with content management systems.
- Demonstrable experience analyzing audience data; knowledge of Google Analytics, Chartbeat, and Social NewsDesk preferred.
- Demonstrable experience working with newsroom computer systems and non-linear editing platforms.
- Previous leadership experience, including strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including periodic on-call assignments as part of the newsroom leadership team.
