Leidos is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (Mid-level)to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve pipeline experience.

  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.

  • Perform root cause analysis for development environment errors.

  • Investigate and resolve technical CI/CD issues.

  • Develop scripts to automate visualization.

  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes.

  • Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizen

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM or engineering discipline required and 3 years related professional experience

  • Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena

  • Must have SAFe for Teams & AWS Dev Ops Engineer within 6 Months of start date

  • Experience in programming languages (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Databases, SQL, Gitlab, & Artifactory

  • Familiarity & knowledge:

  • Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi

  • Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas:

  • Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.

  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command

  • Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office

Pay Range:Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
