Employment Eligibility
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and is not available on a corp-to-corp basis. Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the deployment and successful launch of a customer-facing technology platform
• Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure within AWS
• Build, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product leaders and business stakeholders
• Support and modify live production applications while identifying bugs and implementing fixes
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis through resolution
• Monitor application performance, system reliability and infrastructure health
• Implement observability, logging, alerting and incident response processes
• Manage infrastructure as code and environment configuration
• Support security, compliance and operational best practices
• Continuously improve deployment processes, automation and platform reliability
• Partner with engineering teams to streamline development workflows
• Contribute to application development and code-level troubleshooting when needed
• Evaluate and leverage AI-powered tools to improve productivity, automation and operational effectiveness
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure or a related software engineering role
• Strong experience supporting AWS-based environments
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting production applications in cloud environments
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, modify and improve live software
• Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment tooling
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability solutions
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, product leaders and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred
• Full-stack software engineering experience
• Experience building and shipping customer-facing software with active users
• Experience supporting applications throughout the full software development lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Startup or high-growth company experience
• Experience supporting or developing React-based applications
• Familiarity with modern backend architectures and APIs
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience supporting containerized environments and orchestration platforms
• Experience working with Rust or a similar modern backend language
• Interest in emerging AI technologies and experience using AI tools to enhance engineering productivity and operational efficiency
Technology Environment
The role will focus primarily on cloud infrastructure, software delivery and operational excellence. Exposure to the broader technology stack is highly beneficial:

Preferred locations include:

• Durham, North Carolina
• Denver, Colorado
Remote candidates located within these markets will be considered. Occasional onsite collaboration in Charlotte is strongly preferred.
