Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is seeking a DevOps Engineer - Level 2 to join our team in either Redondo Beach, CA or Aurora, CO.
*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Furthermore, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will have a passion for developing and automating creative solutions. You will be responsible for system analysis, as well as designing, developing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining various systems to meet functional objectives of the business. We cover a wide variety of technologies including Jenkins, Fortify, Ansible, Atlassian suite, TeamForge, ASP, Visual Build, Docker, Kubernetes and many more. You will Implement provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, containerizing, or Cloud distribution. You will function with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. You will ensure implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree
- Must have an active SCI at time of application OR an active TS clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and platforms such as GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and/or AWS
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar
- Experience with managing scalable, high-availability computer environments
- Experience in setting up and managing server infrastructure (e.g., Linux, Red Hat)
- Familiarity with storage systems for data retention and processing such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or similar
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and static/dynamic code analysis tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or similar
- Experience with system monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
- Experience working in Agile software development environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating, developing, and implementing solutions to address requirements
- Ability to identify needs for automation, designing and implementing of CICD solutions
- Experience with developing microservices
- Familiarity with API Security and Container Security
- Proficiency with Agile collaboration and tracking tools such as Atlassian Tools
- Familiarity with modern web development frameworks/libraries such as Angular, or React
- Familiarity with server-side program languages such as Python, C++, Node.js, or Go
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL database systems
