Developer, Portfolio Systems

The Developer, Portfolio Systems is responsible for supporting the development, configuration, testing and maintenance of portfolio management platform capabilities. Working closely with solution architects, analysts, technical specialists and business stakeholders, the role contributes to the development and continuous improvement of Product Development portfolio systems and digital solutions.

The role supports delivery of platform enhancements, workflow automation, reporting capabilities and user-focused solutions across Control Tower, Project Hub, Planning Hub, Executive Reporting and associated Product Development digital platforms. The role provides an opportunity to develop broad technical expertise across Portfolio Systems, low-code technologies, automation and platform development disciplines.

Portfolio Systems Development

• Develop and maintain platform components, workflows and digital solutions supporting Product Development processes.

• Support implementation of approved platform enhancements and capability improvements.

• Configure and maintain low-code platform solutions aligned to business and technical requirements.

• Contribute to development of reusable solution components and automation capabilities.

• Develop solutions in accordance with agreed architecture principles, design standards and technical patterns. This aligns to the architecture governance model established by the Principal / Associate Principal Solution Architect role.

Workflow Automation & Digital Solutions

• Support creation and maintenance of workflow automation capabilities.

• Assist with digitisation of Product Development business processes.

• Contribute to implementation of low-code and automation solutions.

• Support improvement of operational efficiency through automation and standardisation.

• Participate in evaluation and adoption of new platform capabilities where appropriate.

Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Support development of portfolio reporting components, dashboards and visualisation capabilities.

• Assist with implementation of executive reporting enhancements within Portfolio Systems.

• Support reporting automation and reporting process improvements.

• Contribute to maintenance and enhancement of reporting solutions.

• Work with analytics and reporting stakeholders to support delivery of agreed reporting requirements.

Testing, Support & Continuous Improvement

• Support testing, validation and deployment of platform enhancements.

• Investigate and resolve platform issues, defects and user support requests.

• Assist with technical documentation and knowledge management activities.

• Support platform operational continuity and service performance activities.

• Identify opportunities to improve platform usability, supportability and technical quality.

Platform Integration & Technical Collaboration

• Support implementation and maintenance of integrations between Portfolio Systems and connected platforms.

• Work closely with architects, analysts and technical specialists to deliver platform capabilities.

• Assist with technical analysis of information flows, data structures and integration requirements.

• Support delivery of controlled, reliable and maintainable platform solutions.

• Contribute to technical discussions, planning and problem-solving activities.

Professional experience

• Experience developing, configuring or supporting digital platforms, business systems or technology solutions.

• Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate or Power BI is desirable.

• Experience supporting workflow automation, reporting or business application development activities.

• Experience working with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

• Experience supporting testing, deployment or application support activities.

• Understanding of Product Development, Portfolio Management, Resource Management or Engineering environments is desirable.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
