Summary: Magna is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Developer 1 to join our Delivery Team. This delivery Developer role is ideal for individuals who are still early in their Salesforce development career and demonstrate a strong aptitude for problem-solving, clean coding, and both client and internal team collaboration. Developer 1s are responsible for implementing well-designed platform builds, contributing to internal documentation, and participating in day-to-day delivery while growing into client-facing contributions and platform-level expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assigned development tasks within expected timelines and platform standards, maintaining a consistent billable workload of 6+ hours per day.
  • Participate in technical discovery/solutioning sessions with clients, architects and other developers to translate business requirements into development specifications.
  • Implement both code-based and declarative solutions, test/QA work independently and  document builds (including test script creation) on 1-2 primary Salesforce platforms. Emphasis on following platform and client-specific coding guidelines, naming conventions, deployment practices, etc.
  • Collaborate with project managers and solution architects to ensure development aligns with client requirements and timelines.
  • Participate actively in delivery team ceremonies such as project syncs, backlog reviews, and build plan discussions.
  • Communicate status updates clearly, flag blockers early, and support internal documentation for future reference.
  • Attend client meetings as appropriate, supporting/contributing when presenting development status or gathering clarification on use cases.
  • Apply best practices in Apex, Visualforce, AMPscript, SSJS, or similar based on platform scope and manager guidance.
  • Maintain clean, well-commented, reusable code and demonstrate familiarity and adherence to QA and UAT processes.
  • Demonstrate eagerness to contribute beyond directly assigned work, volunteering to support peers, contributing to internal documentation or delivery/development process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates foundational understanding of Salesforce development principles, including one or more of the following: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, AMPscript, SSJS, SQL.
  • Able to follow naming conventions, logical design patterns, and contribute to build execution using defined technical specs.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to ask clarifying questions, and proactive attitude toward learning and improvement.
  • Comfortable working within task systems (e.g. Asana, Jira, etc.) and communicating daily progress and blockers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with growing confidence in client interactions.
  • Positive attitude, openness to feedback, and commitment to team delivery momentum and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holds at least 2 Salesforce platform certifications, emphasis on developer-level certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Marketing Cloud Developer, Platform Developer I, etc.)
  • Mulesoft / Salesforce Integration experience
