About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Product Designer, the Performance Creative Designer bridges Marketing and Product Creative to design experiences that both delight users and drive performance.
As a Performance Creative Designer, you will play a critical role in creating high-performing visual assets for our digital marketing campaigns. Your primary focus will be designing Meta ads that deliver results, translating briefs from strategists into eye-catching creatives. Additionally, you will support cross-functional teams by designing CRM layouts, in-app promotions, loyalty and referral moments, and campaign experiences across iOS, Android, and web. This is the perfect role for an early- to mid-career designer who thrives in a fast-paced startup, loves creative problem-solving, and wants to see their work directly move metrics.
What You’ll Do:
- Translate campaign briefs into high-performing creatives for paid and organic social channels: engaging static, and light motion assets aligned to growth KPIs
- Collaborate on creative strategy with performance marketers—bringing design insights to influence campaign direction and developing new concepts for creative testing.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing/CRM, Engineering, Legal/Compliance, and QA to scope, align, and ship on schedule.
- Follow brand identity across product surfaces and partner campaigns, ensuring consistency and craft excellence.
- Experiments & analytics: create A/B variants (headlines, visuals, CTAs), track CTR/CVR/activation with PM/Analytics, and iterate from results.
- Design and support Promotions & Loyalty UX across iOS/Android/web—from discovery to post-redeem—covering eligibility, rewards/referrals, and all states/edge cases.
- Build and maintain components in the design system (variants, tokens, motion) with clear usage guidelines.
You Ideally Have:
- 3-5 years of graphic design experience with a portfolio of 2–3 projects that tell a story and show outcomes—mobile product UI and at least one campaign asset (paid social).
- Proven experience in creating high performing Meta ads & presenting design concepts to marketing teams
- Figma proficiency (components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator & After Effects).
- Solid grasp of responsive design and email design basics (real-world constraints like image blocking and limited CSS and basic HTMLto sanity check feasibility for landing pages/emails).
- Motion skills (Figma Smart Animate, After Effects, Lottie) to bring promos to life.
- Strong fundamentals: typography, color, layout, visual consistency, accessibility awareness (WCAG AA contrast, readable text sizes, tap targets).
- Clear, confident communicator and presenter with clients/partners and internal stakeholders.
- Willing to travel 1–2× per quarter for Product and Marketing on-sites in NYC.
It’s a Bonus If You Have:
- Start-up experience
- Experience in Gaming or e-commerce products
About You:
You’re energized by a fast-moving startup and thrive in a fast-follower environment—ship, learn, iterate.
- You lead with deep customer empathy, designing for people unlike yourself.
- You’re committed to continuous improvement—of your craft and the product.
- You manage competing priorities calmly, structuring your time and setting clear expectations.
- You’re adaptable and solutions-oriented, comfortable with change and ambiguity.
- You enjoy collaborating cross-functionally yet take autonomous ownership of outcomes.
- You have grit and a “no task too big or too small” mindset; you bias to action.
You stay current on design + marketing trends and share POVs/experiments that unlock growth.
