Mission of the Role:

The mission of the Graphic Design Intern is to support Curology's creative output by contributing hands-on design work across brand, digital, social, and internal channels—building foundational skills while delivering polished, on-brand assets for a high-performing creative team.

Reporting to the Art Director, the intern will assist in the execution of visual design across multiple formats and channels, support brand consistency, and contribute to both digital and production workflows across an 8-week engagement at 20 hours per week.

Success in this role is defined by a sharp eye for detail, a strong grasp of design fundamentals, and the ability to execute across a range of formats with speed and intentionality. The ideal intern brings a foundation in visual communication, curiosity about emerging design tools and trends, and the organizational discipline to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously without sacrificing craft.

Responsibilities and Impact Areas:

Brand & Graphic Design

  • Support the development and application of brand identity assets including typography, color systems, iconography, and graphic elements. Continuously ensuring consistency across every touchpoint is a must.
  • Assist in the creation of original graphic design assets for use across campaigns, packaging, and brand moments.
  • Contribute to brand documentation and style guide maintenance, helping the team keep visual standards current and accessible.

Website & Digital Design

  • Assist in the design of web pages, landing pages, and digital UI elements in Figma, working in close collaboration with the broader creative and product teams.
  • Support UX-informed design decisions by referencing brand standards and contributing to a consistent, on-brand digital experience.
  • Help QA live design implementations against approved comps, flagging inconsistencies and visual discrepancies.

Social Media & Email Design

  • Design social media assets across platforms—including static posts, stories, and ad creative.
  • Contribute to email design by building template layouts and visual modules in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Support rapid-turnaround content production for campaigns, product launches, and brand moments as needed.

Motion & Animation

  • Create lightweight animations and motion graphics for social media and digital placements using After Effects or equivalent Adobe tools.
  • Assist in translating static creative concepts into animated assets that extend campaign reach and engagement.
  • Support the development of motion templates for repeatable use across channels.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a college junior or senior, preferably studying graphic design, visual communication, advertising design, or a related field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating foundational design skills across at least two of the following: brand identity, digital/web design, social media, or motion.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma; comfort working across both tools depending on the task.
  • Familiarity with AI tools through coursework or projects (e.g., using AI for ideation, image generation, design iteration, or research support).
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-moving creative environment.
  • Clear written communication skills; able to ask smart questions, summarize feedback accurately, and flag issues concisely.

Location:

  • Remote – United States

Work Schedule:

  • Expected internship duration is Monday, June 15 - Friday, August 7 (approx. 8 weeks)
  • 20 hours (2.5 days) per week
