Position Summary
This is a hands-on, full-time sales leadership position responsible for driving revenue and profitability across
the Design/Build division. This role leads a team of 5+ landscape designers, drives new business
development through relationships with builders, realtors, developers, and homeowners, and supports the
sales process from lead qualification through contract close by joining client meetings and helping close
larger projects. It is responsible for setting and managing sales goals, coaching the team on sales technique
and client communication, and maintaining pipeline discipline in Aspire (CRM). Technical design oversight
and quality control is provided by a senior designer/design lead, allowing this position to focus on sales
performance, business development, team development, and client relationships. This position is a required
member of Lindgren Landscape's leadership team.

 Salary: $100k to $165K  
Compensation is a base salary plus a quarterly performance bonus. The bonus is tied to three team measures: sales against the annual design/build goal, gross margin on contracted work, and team health.
*This position does not carry a personal sales quota or earn commission on designer sales. 

 Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of Lindgren Landscape's leadership team, attending leadership meetings and contributing to company-wide strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Drive new business development by building and maintaining relationships with builders, realtors, developers, architects, and homeowners to generate new project leads, which are routed to the design team through Aspire.
  • Represent Lindgren Landscape at industry events, builder/realtor associations, and networking opportunities to build referral relationships and pipeline.
  • Lead and manage the team of design/build salespeople, ensuring the team meets sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Guide the sales process end-to-end (lead qualification, client meetings, proposal support, negotiation, and closing) by coaching designers, joining client meetings, and helping negotiate and close larger or complex projects. Sales credit stays with the designer.
  • Create and manage sales goals, quotas, and budgets; regularly report on team performance against targets.
  • Serve as the escalation point for sales-related client and vendor concerns.
  • Coach, train, and mentor designers on sales technique, client communication, and CRM (Aspire)discipline.
  • Partner with the senior designer/design lead, who serves as the technical design authority, to ensure design quality aligns with client expectations and sales commitments.
  • Regularly visit job sites and meet with clients to maintain relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  •  Establish and maintain client relationships, oversee collections, and drive ongoing customer service.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, training, goal-setting, and performance evaluations for design/sales staff.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and sales data in Aspire (CRM).
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education: 
• Bachelor's degree preferred (business, sales, marketing, or related field); equivalent professional sales
management experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Landscape design, horticulture, or construction background a plus, not required.

Experience 

• 8+ years of sales management experience required, ideally in a service-based, project-based, or high-
ticket industry (construction, remodeling, home services, landscape, or similar).
• 3-5 years of experience directly supervising a sales team.
• Proven track record of setting and exceeding sales targets.
• Demonstrated success generating new business through outside relationships and referral networks
(e.g., builders, realtors, developers, trade partners).
• CRM experience required; experience with Aspire a plus.
• Landscape industry, design, or construction experience a plus, not required.

• Experienced in MS Office and CRM software (Aspire preferred).

• Must have a valid driver's license..

Hours: Hours vary and are dependent on business needs. Weekends may be needed to satisfy the work load.
