Deployment Engineer
SS&C Advent has been the market leader providing portfolio management solutions for over 25 years.  Work with a dynamic team of system experts on Advent Software’s suite of cloud services.  Technologies include Windows, Citrix XenApp , Active Directory, SQL Server, VMWare vSphere, Netapp, SolarWinds, Jenkins and Chef to name a few. Technical expertise, excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to create and follow runbooks are required qualities to be successful in this position.

Duties will include:
•    Deploy and support SS&C Advent’s hosted client environments (Advent Outsourcing Services, or “AOS”), including application troubleshooting, upgrades and patches
•    Assist in testing and updating existing runbooks
•    Pro-actively look to optimize workflows and automate repetitive tasks
•    Learn to install and configure Advent’s proprietary applications 
•    Collaborate with team members on client implementation and upgrade projects
•    Develop and follow detailed project plans, schedules and related project documentation

Competency Requirements 
Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience. In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:
•    Have expertise in installing and administering SS&C Advent APX, Moxy and Geneva is a plus
•    Have experience with Windows system administration in an Enterprise environment
•    Understanding in scripting and automation technologies (Chef, Jenkins, Shell Script)
•    Excel in complex problem analysis and hands-on creative solutions, designs and implementations
•    Ability to communicate effectively both internally and with clients
•    Have experience managing cloud environments utilizing Windows, Citrix and VMWare 
•   Detail oriented and results-driven self-starter with the ability to complete work independently within a collaborative environment 

•    Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, execute according to project schedules, provide operational support, and deliver results with a high level of quality 
•    Ability to rapidly learn new technologies to implement and support a fast paced environment
