Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Demand Planners, who forecast weekly consumption of cell phones and other mobile devices. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in demand planning. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain processes, be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, and be adept at driving the demand planning process for 100+ products with short lifecycles and variable pricing in an ever-evolving portfolio within the cellular industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Demand Planners, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure efficient operations and high-quality forecasts
  • Oversee the weekly consumption forecast for cell phones, devices, and accessories, ensuring that forecasts are accurate, timely, and aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and supply chain teams to gather input and insights that improve forecast accuracy
  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and other key factors to develop and refine demand forecasts
  • Leverage competitive insights to adjust demand planning strategies and forecast models based on external market conditions and competitor actions
  • Monitor performance against forecast, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on forecast performance, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Continuously evaluate and refine demand planning processes, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Apply model tuning techniques to refine forecasting models and enhance the accuracy of demand predictions

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management; experience in the mobile devices or electronics industry is preferred
  • 2+ years of management experience

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience leading and developing a team, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with model tuning techniques in demand forecasting
  • Experience in incorporating competitive insights into demand planning processes to adapt to market shifts and competitor strategies
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing business needs

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
