The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Consultant in Cryptography and Spectrum to support our Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Practice Area.  

JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will define and curate the technical strategy and vision for the DCO Practice Area in collaboration with practice area management, as well as Leidos Office of Technology (OOT) principals (Accelerators, CIO, CISO, Sector CTOs). Drawing on your deep technical expertise and proven success in technical leadership, industry knowledge, and customer engagement, you will drive compelling and differentiated solutions for DCO digital modernization and Leidos-wide programs and repeatable offerings. 

Building strong, trusted relationships, you will provide technical insights to customers and Leidos programs and captures. By acting as an industry thought leader, you will bolster Leidos’ position as an innovation leader. Your role will extend to qualifying high-potential pipeline opportunities by interpreting complex and multi-dimensional customer requirements, providing SME advisory, consulting, and technical direction to shape customers towards Leidos solutions.    
As the technical SME 'face and voice of Leidos’ DCO Practice Area,' you will represent our perspectives at external events, gaining a thorough understanding of customer modernization journeys. You will also serve as the ambassador for DCO initiatives within OOT, advocating for the practice area’s requirements and identifying opportunities to pilot OOT and other IRAD innovations. 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
No initial clearance is required to start; however, you must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Technology Leadership: 
· Serve as the technical expert within the practice area and maintain dialogue with internal and external stakeholders to drive new business development.
· Stay abreast of industry trends in infrastructure and platform solutions, data science, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cyber security and application modernization.
· Represent Leidos as the DCO technical thought leader, providing persuasive consultative skills with senior level customers.
· Advocates for prioritization of practice area needs across relevant enterprise investments.
· Participate in the definition and implementation of the long-term technology strategy aligned to the Practice Area, Sector, and overall cybersecurity strategies.
· Engages practice area management and within OOT to ideate on innovative capabilities to build, to establish a portfolio of cyber security investments required to support growth goals.
Collaboration
· Collaborate with cross functional teams, including OOT, Linc, CHO iRADS and technical fellows to incorporate Leidos technical solutions and subject matter expertise.
· Identifying and promoting a healthy portfolio of alliance partners to embrace innovation and disruptive technology and where possible, showcase developing technology both internally and externally.
· Work as SME in support of solution development for selected capture opportunities
· Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the technology team within the practice area and community of practice.
· Collaborates with practice area leaders and BD to identify opportunities for insertion of OOT, Sector, and partner innovations onto program and captures.
· Engages across the broader Leidos technical community and within OOT.
Client Engagement
· Participate in industry events to position Leidos capabilities, points of view and differentiation and to develop relationships with prospective and existing customers
· Engage current and prospective customers to demonstrate the company's credentials at solving problems with technically-sound solutions and to understand customer’s priorities and challenges.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master's degree or equivalent in Networking, Cybersecurity, or similar Technology, Enterprise Information Technology (IT), and Engineering practice with 15+ years of related global or large-enterprise cybersecurity experience; additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
· Prior technical roles within similar organizations with growing duties and responsibilities
· Comprehensive cyberspace domain experience; specifically related to defending and operating environments under continuous cyberspace engagement, including DDIL, Edge, Core, Enterprise and Mission Partner Environments (MPE).
· Methodological experience with securing and scaling solutions using cloud-native, Agile, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering expertise in conjunction w product and integrated solution System Engineering Best Practices to deliver secure, scalable, resilient and defensible capabilities.
· Knowledge of, and experience with, a large fraction of the Leidos Digital Modernization customer base and potential competitors.
· Experience with policy formation, performance management, and best practices in the US Government market.
· Thought leadership with ability to lead and shape strategic thinking and execution.
· Strong oral and written communication skills, along with public speaking skills.
· Ability to influence and persuade others, as well as handle difficult negotiations requiring a well-developed sense of strategy.
· Ability to mentor, coach, lead, and promote talent. 
 Significant experience supporting capture activities to include chairing/participating in Gate Reviews, writing specific sections of proposals, providing preliminary technical guidance for solutions, competitive analysis, partnering suggestions, and Basis of Estimate (BOE)/Bill of Materials (BOM)/task cost estimation.

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
