A day in the life

We are seeking an Essentials Deal Desk Manager in our Denver, Colorado office as part of the Global Essentials Team to support the Operations function.  For this role, we are looking for a self-starter who is dynamic, has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and thinks critically. 
 
The Deal Desk Manager will optimize the sales process by ensuring deals are prepared accurately and efficiently, managing workflows, validating pricing, and ensuring compliance with company policies, ultimately supporting sales operations.   This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the Sales team on deal structure and pricing, advise the team on alternative contract options and value propositioning to help drive deal closure. 
 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review deals from initial quote to final contract, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company goals, pricing strategies, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage deal desk workflow and approval processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.  
  • Evaluate deal financials including pricing guidelines and deal margin, payment terms, and cash flow to ensure deals are financially viable.  
  • Mitigate risk by applying standardized contract terms and ensuring compliance with financial and REIT-related requirements.
  • Interpret contractual language and escalate issues as needed to ensure alignment with financial, legal, and operational policies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with sales, finance, legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support deal execution.
  • Create documentation and provide training for ongoing support to sales teams to drive process adherence, efficiency, and sales execution.
  • Develop and drive initiatives focused on enhancing productivity, streamlining deal desk operations, refining company deal policies, and enabling scalable go-to-market strategies.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably with a fast paced, start-up company with little or no defined infrastructure or processes.  
  • Demonstrated success in developing & implementing standards for sales excellence including key scorecards, productivity metrics, operational design and process & business outcomes.  
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate complex problems and solutions/recommendations with a track record of presenting to senior management.  
  • Exercise sound judgment and professionalism, with a proven track record of effectively partnering with senior executives.
  • Possess high emotional intelligence and a strong ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the sales organization.
  • Exceptionally organized and adept at multitasking, with the agility to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Data driven and tech-savvy leader with proficiency in Salesforce, CLM, and other sales automation/enablement tools.    
  • Embrace a growth mindset, continuously adapting strategies in response to the evolving sales enablement landscape and emerging insights.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA or graduate degree 

Hiring Salary Range of: $103,000 - $142,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
