Project Overview
We’re seeking a part-time, temporary, independent contractor (up to 4 hours a week) to support our analytics engineering efforts. This project is ideal for someone with strong experience in dbt and Snowflake who is looking for a flexible, temporary, low-hours opportunity. You will be responsible for maintaining existing dbt models by implementing new business logic or fixing any failing models, creating new models as business needs evolve, and ensuring the overall health and performance of our dbt pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and troubleshoot data new dbt models and update existing dbt models and transformations to support new and updated business initiatives.
- Optimize model performance and maintain documentation.
- Monitor dbt runs and resolve any issues that arise.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across the pipeline
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with dbt (Data Build Tool) in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, SQL performance tuning, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience building transformation pipelines.
- Experience with Git version control workflows.
- Familiarity with dbt documentation, testing, and deployment practices.
- Experience working with small, fast-moving teams.
- Experience working with stakeholders across an organization (ex. Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales).
Compensation
- This is a temporary independent 1099 contractor position, with a time commitment of approximately 4 hours per week for approximately five months. Hourly rate to be discussed based on experience.
