Torch Technologies is seeking a Data Systems Architect to support USSPACECOM. This role requires a highly skilled individual to build, deploy, and maintain robust big data solutions and platforms. The Data Systems Architect will work closely with combatant command staff to support complex technical decisions within the current data framework.
As a Data Systems Architect your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Develop data architecture that enhances current analytics capabilities
Work on a cadence that enables best-fit technology to improve performance, quality, and availability over time
Build concise data architecture to support future artificial intelligence capabilities
Provide insight into evolving database storage and utilization needs and recommend solutions
Analyze database implementation methods for compliance with USSPACECOM policies and external regulations
Create data monitoring models and collaborate with the marketing team ahead of new releases
Develop database design and architecture documentation for management and executive teams
Maintain the integrity and security of company databases
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
7+ years of experience in a data analysis or data management role
Active TS/SCI clearance
Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and other stored procedure programming languages
Experience with Big Data solutions (Data Lake, Hadoop Ecosystem, RDBMS, NoSQL, Apache Spark/Presto, machine learning/deep learning, Blockchain, In-memory Databases)
Understanding of cloud network environments as a service
Proficiency with open-source RDBMS (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
Proficient in multiple data modeling types (Relational, Key/Value, Graph, Document, Column-family, Array/Matrix, Hierarchical, Network)
Ability to design scalable data services architecture supporting advanced analytics needs
Experience building self-service, real-time data systems adaptable to evolving technologies
Strong ability to communicate complex data in a clear, actionable manner
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
Experience with Palantir MAVEN Smart Systems ontology and design development
Prior space experience at the operational/theater level (e.g., Combatant Command, Joint/Combined Task Force, Component)
Experience supporting USSPACECOM, AFSPACE, NAVSPACE, MARFORSPACE, or SMDC/ARSPACE operations/exercises
Experience working on classified networks and interfacing with military staffs at operational and strategic levels
Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning experience
Cloud environment experience
Schedule: M-F; 8-5
Work Location: Onsite, Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary Range - Colorado: $130,000-160,000
