As a Data Scientist at Ownwell, you’ll play a pivotal role in leveraging data to refine and enhance our proprietary technology. You will build predictive models, conduct analyses, and develop machine learning algorithms to uncover insights that drive strategic business decisions. Your work will directly support product innovation, marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions to optimize business processes and enable new products and use-cases.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights, inform strategy, and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to integrate data science solutions into customer-facing and internal systems.
- Design and execute experiments to validate and enhance product features and business initiatives.
- Continuously improve data quality, model performance, and data governance practices.
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines and analytical processes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in data science and machine learning methodologies to inform and elevate Ownwell’s data capabilities.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics roles.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning. We do not use R and are exclusively looking for people who are proficient in Python.
- Familiarity with SQL, including querying databases, data manipulation, and relational database concepts.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Understanding of statistical methods and experiment design.
- Familiarity with cloud services, such as AWS, for data processing and model deployment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
